Overall this place has a ton of potential, but they do miss the mark in a number of areas. Below is my honest feedback of the good, the middle of the road, and the bad.
The Good: The front desk and maintenance staff are friendly and, to the extent of their resources, helpful.
There are 8 pools and hot tubs on the premises.
The entire property is secured with a gated entry.
Having a kitchen is pretty convenient and makes for a more relaxed vacation.
Having separate bedrooms was convenient when traveling with a toddler.
The bedding and pillows provided are very nice and comfy.
Not good, but not necessarily bad: The TVs are set up on old school cable. For a resort of this size it would be nicer and more cost effective to have streaming boxes, being that in 2023 pretty much everyone has at least a Netflix account.
The kitchen could be stocked better. They oddly are stocked with casserole dishes, but no pasta strainers, for example.
I'd like to see better stock of cleaning supplies. They stock a small broom, paper towels, dishwasher detergent, and a sponge and that's it. At minimum there should be some kind of all purpose cleaner and a mop as well.
In the bathrooms they provide online a single, hotel size bar of soap in each bathroom. Shampoo and conditioner would be a nice touch.
The bad: The property has an insect problem. There is a sign on the fridge that says bugs are normal in tropical climates and asks guests to help by cleaning up after themselves. The thing is, we are from or have lived in tropical climates. My husband has lived in North Carolina, Georgia, Alabama, Louisiana, Florida, SoCal, and Hawaii, and we were stationed in Twenty Nine Palms, which is about 50 miles east of here, and in none of those places have we ever had an issue with cockroaches and infestations of sugar ants like we saw here. There had to be literally hundreds of sugar ants... again, there is an infestation issue. When we called the front desk about it they sent maintenance out, who wanted to spray Raid INSIDE with our toddler running around. We agreed to let them spray outside and went and bought our own cleaning supplies to keep up with the infestation during our stay.
Given the climate and the fact that they will not allow you to turn the a/c below 72°, there really should be ceiling fans at least in the bedrooms and living room, but there isn't even box fans stored anywhere in the units.
The unit was not very clean when arrived. The cabinets in the bathrooms and kitchen have splatter spots and caked on dirt all over them. When I went to put a bag in the overhead shelf of the primary bedroom closet I got hit with a ton of dust in my face. When my son dropped a toy under a cabinet with long legs (meaning there was a lot of space between the ground and bottom of the cabinet), I found wrappers and a TON of dirt under it. My son had an injured foot so he can't wear shoes. Within an hour of being here the bottoms of his foot wrap and sock were BLACK, indicating the floors were quite filthy (the color of the floors apparently just hides it well).
The mattresses are not very comfortable at all. They are oddly rock hard and lumpy at the same time.
The paper towels and toilet paper provided...

Yes, cockroachES (plural). I feel completely disgusted to be living is such conditions. The first day we came there was a half dead cockroach in the kitchen and on the second day there was one on the ceiling. Never have I ever seen so many cockroaches is one place in such a short period of time.
Upon such events, I called the front desk and they sent a service man with a spray. My parents questioned if it was safe for it to be sprayed inside as the fumes may be poisonous. He said: "do you want to read the bottle before I spray?" Judging from the front desk's reaction to my complaint, this was not a rare occurrence.
Not only is the room filthy (the floor was sticky and the carpet looks mangled) but the service is horrible. When we forgot our shampoo and asked the front desk, they told us to go buy it ourselves at the store. They sell shampoo in the lobby.
On the first morning I was rudely woken up by maintenance cutting grass right outside the patio to my room at 7 am. I did not plan on waking so early on a vacation meant for me to relax.
There are little to no activities and everything is costly. I do not recommend. My family frequents resorts such as the Oasis as we have a time share and let me say that this is by far the worst I have ever stayed at.
Overall, I felt uncomfortable staying here the entire time. I was constantly looking up down and sideways for cockroaches. Not to mention their list of rules. Upon checking in I was warned of all the extra charges that could be made, one of them being for a lost room key. At every other hotel and resort that I have ever stayed at, that being over 15, a hotel has never threatened such charges for a lost piece of plastic. On the contrary, room keys are easily deactivated or misplaced and most hotels will happily replace it free of charge. NOT HERE....
Read moreFour of us traveled to Palm Springs and stayed at this Oasis Resort. Our first negative experience was that they had put on a flyer and posted that they would be serving breakfast and coffee. We scheduled our following day around having breakfast at this resort only to walk in and find out that they had canceled the breakfast without letting anyone know and there was no coffee in the carafes in the lounge area. The staff's response was really minimal as if they really didn't care. The next night all four sets of our golf clubs were stolen out of a locked garage. We called the main desk and reported this and waited for management or security to come to the condo. We also called the Palm Springs police. Believe it or not Palm Springs Police beat management over to our unit which was extremely disappointing. Management seemed not very concerned and definitely not empathetic towards the theft. Honestly we saw no evidence, and the police agreed, of someone breaking in which led us to believe that someone had a key to the garage. We spoke with management and their insurance company and they both said they were not liable for the theft. We all found it very hard to believe since this is a gated community and the garage door was locked that they would not be liable since it appeared someone had a key to the garage and stole our clubs. The entire situation seemed to be handled as if it was an inconvenience for them to respond to our concerns. This was extremely disappointing. If you plan to stay at this resort I would be very careful with your belongings as it appears there are eyes watching and people with keys with access to locked areas. The management showed no concern or empathy which was very...
