I arrived at this hotel a little after 6pm on Thursday. The gave me room 409. When I arrived in the room it stuck. It had a urine smell and it smelled wet. I went down and explained to front desk. She wanted to put me I. Room 402. I explained to her that all the odd numbers are with an ocean view. She explained that the computer said other wise. I went to room to 402 to find out the room faces the street. When back down to front desk to tell her it did not have ocean view it was the street. She put me in room 311. Come to find out it was a double bed room. I went down stairs to front seat and asked will I be compensated? Because this is not what I ordered. She went to the back to call manager she came back and said they was not answering but did leave a message. She explained to me as soon as she hears something she will let me know. I went to the room to pull covers back I found a bug and blood on the comforter. So this required me to sleep in the other bed. When I pulled the covers back on that bed ai found a hanger under the sheets. Next morning I explained to the manager about the bug and comforter. She blows it off and said oh that’s an ant I have those. I said I want to get compensated for my troubles. I said I ordered a King suite with an ocean view. She replies it’s really not an ocean view. She said let’s go find you a room. One room was double the other was on the 3rd floor next door to mine. Come to find out it had been slept in. She said we will have it ready and cleans for you later. The Rachel Sawyer flight will be in later and I will have a talk with her. She is supposed to be the General Manger of the hotel. The next day after lunch I approached the manager asked did she get a hold of the General Manager. She said she did and they won’t compensate me because I said the room smelled like wet dog and there is no dogs allowed in the building. So I ended up staying in the room and she the manager never told me my other King Suite was ready. As a member I feel the situation was mishandled and if I was not Black they would have treated me better. I would like to give this hotel all zeroes and tell ones this is not the hotel to stay at. This is what they emailed me Dear Tamishia, Thank you for taking the time to complete our online survey regarding your recent stay at Comfort Inn & Suites Panama City Beach - Pier Park Area. On behalf of our entire team, I would like to apologize for failing to exceed your expectations with the room issue. Your satisfaction is important to us as a valued Choice Privileges member. You were shown a few rooms yes and you agreed to stay in 311 the double room. You never said anything about a hanger or blood , you did show me a ant, which anything, luggage , bags could have brought in. Not understanding WHY you through the RACE CARD in this . Myself have black children , look it up. Its things like this that make my job tough. Ask my black sister sure wouldnt like your comments but everyone has there own opinions. We hope you have a Blessed Day!

If you are looking for a brand new hotel that you can smell the new carpet, this is it. It may not be right on the beach, but you can see the beach from a room on the back side. The price is much better too so you can spend more money on other things like food, drinks, entertainment, or beach stuff. You will also find a great indoor shooting range just across the street. I was met by the assistant manager when I checked in at 3 pm. to find my room ready and assigned after making a reservation 30 minutes beforehand walking along the beach. I need to give a shout-out to Anne at the central reservation for not only taking care of my needs at the last minute but also going above and beyond. As I pulled in off a main highway, the outside of the hotel was in pristine condition, very manicure landscaping. Then I walked in the front doors to see warm, comfy, bright colors and modern decor. I was a little taken back because Choice Hotels are usually not this nice, but this is the new bold look I approve. My room was huge with lots of space with a California king bed. There was a seating area and couch with a working desk. I loved my room so clean, modern , bright colors, comfy , new smell. The only negative thing for this hotel is the breakfast. I have a gluten allergy, so staying at Choice Hotels can be difficult. As you can see, I could only eat eggs, yogurt, sausage, apple, and drink. The choice of brand cheerios is wheat. Why not buy the real cheerios that are gluten free. Next, why have grits that have wheat as well. I wish the hotel brand and hotel owners would take action to help the large number of people and kids with a growing population of gluten allergy eat well at breakfast in their hotels. Other than breakfast, I absolutely loved this hotel. Would I recommend this place? Absolutely Would I stay here again? Absolutely Don't take my word for it . Go see for yourself.

This property is not in the Pier Park "area". It is almost 2.5 miles from Pier Park Drive. Three miles from Margaritaville. I was amazed to find that the first thing I saw when I entered the front door was a whiteboard with bible verses hand written on it. At first I thought maybe there was a convention there but obviously not, they were only about 5 cars in the parking lot. So religious proselyting is part of their business plan I guess. After I checked in, I asked for a luggage cart. Down the hall they said. Strangely, they didn't have a traditional hotel luggage cart but they were like the ones they use at some airports. You can put a couple of suitcases on it but thats it. Its all tubes so you can't sit your pocketbook on it or anything smaller than a suitcase, it will fall through the tubes. And no way to carry hanging clothes. Weird. Our room was on the front of the hotel and trucks kept me awake all night. The hotel is located at a traffic light. So the trucks downshift when they stop and roar when they take off again. I asked the desk about backside rooms but the only kings they have are on the front side of the hotel. The breakfast was the traditional powdered eggs, precooked bacon and waffle maker. They also had a sign asking you not to take breakfast to your room for "hygiene" reasons. Which I, frankly, ignored. I like eating breakfast in my room. Room service has existed for decades and eating in your room is pretty standard, especially if you have kids. There is nothing unhygienic about it. The room was very nice and its about a mile walk to the beach. But if you are there for the beach there are better choices closer to the beach.
