Our stay through our AirBnb was great. Loved the condo, loved the property, loves the host. But the one star review is for my interaction with the building manager Raymond. He had the hot tub shut down at 2pm due to a small shower and very distant lightning strike on our last day there. The rain lasted about an hour with no more lightning. After multiple hours of no rain or lightning (with sun shining) I got ahold of him directly to see when it would be reopened as we were planning our evening agenda around getting a little hot tub time in on our last night there and he seemed to be irritated and passive aggressive about the entire idea for some reason. I even sent him a screenshot of the hourly for the rest of the day showing great weather all evening. At this point he told me that as long as it looked good (which it did) that he would have the 6pm guy open it back up. We'll come 6 pm The weather looked even better with sun shining yet the hot tub was still closed. Come about 7, I checked again to no avail. The guy seemed like he was on some sort of weird power trip and I honestly think he chose to keep it closed out of spite after accusing me of "pressuring him" to reopen it!! Politely pleading the case for an amenity that we paid good money to use to be reopened in a moment that it clearly should be open would be a more accurate description. I wasn't hostile at all when talking to him which made the entire conversation even more perplexing (and laughable). I'm still chuckling about the passive aggressive tone when he accused me of pressuring him. It was a clear attempt for him to manipulate the conversation/situation. I think he was maybe angry at the start because someone on staff gave me his number so I could inquire after going to the main office prior and finding nobody there to talk to. Luckily another great staff member (the 6 o'clock guy) opened it up and saved our last evening there, while agreeing that there was absolutely no reason to keep it closed. He also informed me that Raymond never said anything to him about the hot tub as he told me he would, which again was laughable. What a silly situation. The whole situation had the feeling of him having the mindset he was doing the guests a favor by letting us stay in his building. Which is not how a guest should feel or be treated by the property manager. The owners and guests that we talked to all week were fantastic, but my interactions with Raymond tainted an otherwise wonderful trip and it wouldn't be very difficult to find a more friendly property manager with less of a chip on his solider. The whole situation...
Read moreWe stay at this building every year for the last few years. The building and all the Condos we stayed in are great! Pool and distance to the beach is great! However this year was the first year some friends came down at the same time and came over to eat dinner after we went deep sea fishing. The information for additional parking (where the extra parking lot is) was completly incorrect and non exsistent. The locaiton of the office was incorrect and by the time I found the office they were closed. We walked up and down the street trying to find the addtional parking they talked about being "adjacent to the building) and there is not one. We did run into the only person on staff that was walking around and told him some friends were there to eat and would only be here a few hours and parked in the additional parking lot across the street (the one they say is for yiour second car and you need a pass for $50). We were willing to pay $50 for him to park there but was told by staff that he was busy and did not have time for that, and to go ahead and park overthere. That is would be ok as long as it was not over night. We said thank you and promised to be out soon as there is a quiet time at 10p. As we walked out around 945p we were shocked to see that the car was towed, and the worker told us oh well I misunderstood. Even though we pointed to the car when we asked. Needless to say we had a 20+ drive to the tow lot and $150 to pay and another 20+ min drive back. We didnt get back to the place til 11p and...
Read moreWe really enjoyed our 10 days here. It is one of the best maintained properties we have ever stayed at. There's always an employee to be found when a need arises. Security was tight. Our condominium floors were not as clean as we would have expected on arrival. Someone was smoking weed in the vicinity of our end of the property and they kept knocking on our door asking if we knew who. This got a little frustrating however on our last day they discovered it was 3 young men in the stairwell across from our room. They have a strict smoking policy on property and beach...it is strickly enforced. The indoor/outdoor pool is amazing and a wonderful area to retreat from the heat. There was a steam room and restrooms at the pool which were very nice and clean. Gas and charcoal grills were available and we enjoyed them. It was easy to navigate anywhere on the property to the beach. The property was well maintained and clean. The sunset view was amazing each evening. They are in a quiet spot but convenient to stores and shopping. Our granddaughter was thrilled with the pool, we loved the chairs and umbrellas on the beach that were available. Taylor, the chair attendant, made sure to move my umbrella each day to full sun as I can't sit in the sun. So thoughtful. A wonderful time was had by all. We are looking forward to coming...
