We stayed at Brighton lodge the day after Christmas for 5 days. We had rented out two connected dorm rooms. One dorm had a standard queen size bed with a mini-fridge and sofa, the other room had two bunk beds with XL-twin mattresses and a mini-fridge. The lodge was ski in ski out which was so amazing, you literally put your skis on and go on your way without the hassle of parking, buses, long walks and stairs like at other major ski mountains.
Monica was a great host, she checks you in gives you honest information about skiing and riding, and is there to help you with whatever you need during your stay.
The common room always had a fire going which made the cozy atmosphere 10 times cozier. continental breakfast is also in the common room, with hot tea, hot coco, coffee, prepared all day.
There is no room service during covid but extra towels/tissues/toilet paper is readily available any time in the common room.
If it is snowing!!!! make sure you bring a car that has good snow tires and works well in the snow I think our truck got stuck at least 3 or 4 times in the parking lot. Also there aren't many places to eat at Brighton unless you want to drive to solitude, I would recommend bringing food with you from the city.
I forgot to mention the hot tub. I recommend the hot tub when its snowing 10/10.
If your looking for something affordable with a hometown cozy vibe Brighton lodge is where you want to be, we definitely had an experience of a...
Read moreThe Brighton Lodge is a fantastic gem located right next to the central ski lift at the Brighton Resort. Enjoy a wonderful ski trip at the Brighton Lodge with awesome, attentive, and kind staff, as well as comfortable rooms, a host of amenities, and beautiful views of the forest and the mountains with some of the best snow in the world!
The lodge provides a nice continental breakfast, as well as coffee, tea, and hot chocolate throughout the day. Behind the lodge is a ski-in ski-out trail which takes you right out to the Crest ski lift, so it makes hot coffee/cocoa stops while skiing almost too easy! The lodge has plenty of room options for different needs, from roomy suites to dorms with bunks. No matter the room you'll have access to an awesome main room with a lovely fireplace, an atrium, plenty of board games, and a movie room with a huge VHS and DVD collection to enjoy! Also, after skiing the lodge has a large hot tub to unwind with friends and family while watching the sunset down the canyon.
Also, Molly Green's Restaurant is a short walk away from the lodge, and they treat guests of the Brighton Lodge particularly well when you swing by for a cup of French onion soup or Warm Apple Pie cocktail after a long day on the slopes!
Highly recommend...
Read moreThis place was AMAZING to stay at for some slopes action. I cannot commend this place and its staff enough. They were so warm and welcoming, and ensured our stay was top notch from beginning to end. Thank you Monika & Symmer, we really appreciated all the help you were able to provide. Please please please do not ever leave, you are the best! The place is so quaint and has that old world feel to it, which is sorely lacking in the world of ski lodges. They're all being bought up by big name companies and more or less taking away the character and charm that makes places like this shine! I hope this place stays the same and doesn't just become another cookie-cutter resort like most of the others, this place was just perfect. From the continental breakfast in the lodge around the fireplace with a greenhouse looking out at the mountain to the cozy rooms with no TVs (HUGE plus!), and everything in-between (like the hot tub outside in the snow swoooooon), this place was snow heaven. Cannot wait to come back and hopefully will be the same staff...
