I booked a room through Expedia unknowingly choosing an accessible room. When I checked in , the lady at the front desk ( Ari ) was on the phone with someone named Jayla on speak phone . After checking in at 3pm , I went to the room. When I noticed it had a stand in shower, I asked for a room change. Ari was helping another customer and asked me how can she help me. I proceeded to ask for a room change , she asked why and I told her I need a tub instead of a stand in shower, she said I received the room I booked for and she did not appreciate my attitude. I told her I did not have an attitude and I was answering her questions. She said the conversation can go left or right ways I said no, it can only go one way. She then proceeded to say have a seat I will help you when I’m finished with the customer. I stated I rather stand and that she asked for my help while helping another customer but I can wait. She then said “don’t raise your blood pressure” as she noticed I’m 9 months pregnant. I stated I won’t. Once she finished helping the customer a head of me . She made a call and immediately started smiling and said that’s what I told her after telling the person that I was attempting to change my room although I booked with a third party . I was told by Ari to contact the third party for a room change . I asked for a refund , she stated I paid the third party ( my card says quality inn and suites ) . I contacted the third party and was told per the property manager, I can change my room for $20 but cannot cancel my reservation since I was in the room dor 35 minutes. I went to the front with my child and requested to pay $20 the front desk person was now a male ( I guess the manager) he was waiting on me with an attitude and proceeded to state I should be lucky he is allowing me to pay $20 to change the room. I told him my experience with the front desk staff as a whole was not good and asked who can I call. He replied , he does not care who I call. I stated I would just cancel my reservation he said well you won’t be getting your money back. I said I will just dispute with my bank. He then made a comment saying , I’m a great example for my child. I said he was a great example for wanting to argue with women. He said who is my “baby daddy” . I made a report with Expedia and with Quality Inn guest services for my refund. A total waste of time
Just judging by your response you are either the man that I had the encounter with ( very unprofessional) and lack of accountability on your business’s part. It’s okay though, you are showing other customers to not spend their money at this hotel. I have yet to find a way to reach out to Jash Hospitality to discuss your behavior but I will keep working on it. Continue showing us the unprofessionalism...
Read moreI stay at this hotel every year on my way to vacation in Florida. I have been a Choice Hotels guest for around 10 years or more, probably stayed in this hotel for most of those years, and have come to count on a quality and comfortable stay. This hotel seems to have changed managers last year. There were not the usual fresh baked cookies in the early afternoon, last year or this year. No big deal right. But apparently the comfortable beads that you used to have is no longer part of your service either, the bed that we were in was terrible, hard and uncomfortable, this is a BIG DEAL. Last year and this year, it appears that the manager and the staff are of the same family, okay, still not a big deal, maybe. BUT, it also appears that they are living in the hotel, this is a BIG DEAL to me. Is that part of Choice Hotels policy?? Last year when I was in the hall, I smell a pungent odor coming from a storage room (at least that was what it was marked as). I also noticed that there was a pair of shoes sitting in the hallway just outside the door (not stupid, they are living in that room, if not in others too). Just as I was passing by, one of the family members started to come out of the room, saw me and went right back in. Are they hiding the fact that they are living there? The smell apparently was food that they were cooking. Since the family appears to of Indian descent (not sure of my middle eastern countries), the smell was probably some kind of Ethnic dish from their country. Frankly, I don't plan on staying there anymore. I may stay one more time, but if this same family is still living in and running this hotel, I'll find another to stay at. And if it is a policy of Choice Hotels to allow people to actually live in their hotels and cook in the rooms (safety hazard), I will change companines and never stary in a Choice Hotel anymore. I would like someone from Choice Hotels to contact me and let me know if hotel management or anyone is allowed to live in the hotels, you have my email, so I hope...
Read moreMy family and I stay here frequently (3-5 times a year) as my sister and her niece live here. We are from Georgia. The rooms are typically very nice and clean and the service (depending on who you get) is typically very nice as well. The two employees we see most often are the black gentleman and the indian gentleman. I apologize for not knowing their names or a better way to refer to them. The black gentleman is INCREDIBLY nice. He remembers me and my family everytime we come. He is always incredibly sweet and accommodating. He went out of his way to fix our AC instead of having to move rooms. Amazing employee. Amazing service. The indian gentleman however is INCREDIBLY rude. All the times we have stayed there and not once have we had a positive experience with him. We are always met with attitude and such coldness from him. We went to get a cart this morning to get out of our room and go home and the entire time we pulled it through the lobby we were met with daggers from him. He gave us a nasty look the whole time. We proceeded to load our car from the back parking lot, and when my boyfriend went to take the cart back and check out he was told off about how the carts can’t go back there and we shouldn’t be using them to load up our stuff to leave - only for arrival. I don’t know about you but that’s the most unproductive and unprofessional I’ve ever heard. Don’t you think if someone needed one to bring their stuff IN, they’re gonna need one to bring it out??? I don’t know it just felt like he went out of his way to be rude and make us feel like we were doing something wrong. Last time we were here I asked if they had toothbrushes at the counter because I forgot mine and he didn’t even look up from his phone before telling me no in an incredibly rude and uncaring tone of voice. Regardless of what the rules of regarding these situations, this employee is nothing but rude and unprofessional. I hate to see him still...
