Worst Motel Experience Ever – Avoid at All Costs

I don’t usually write reviews, but after this experience I might just start, I really felt the need to share my horrific experience at this motel.

First off, there were bed bugs in the room. When I alerted the staff about the issue, instead of offering a solution, they were combative and refused to refund me. They held my money hostage and insisted I sign a paper just to get it back.

The staff was rude and unprofessional. After I paid, they closed up, and when I told them I couldn’t come back because the sign said "no business after 7 pm," the lady arrogantly claimed she was there all night. The next morning, I tried to show up at 6 am, but no one was there. I came back at 7 am, still no one, and finally, at 7:30 am, when I rang the doorbell, they woke up with an attitude, making it seem like I was disturbing them.

Horrible customer service, and it felt like I was inconveniencing them for even trying to address the issue. This place is a nightmare, and I’m only posting this to add to the long list of negative reviews.

Some people may argue, "You saw the reviews, why stay there?" You're right – I did choose to stay there, but trust me, I’d have been better off sleeping outside.

I was in room 7. Dirty, smelled bad and more importantly my friend and I found a bedbug and we took off after just minutes of walking into the room. I told the old guy and his wife started yelling at me and told me not to come back ever. This was less than a week ago today. I took a video of the bedbug and showed it to the owners and they still denied it. I really wish this would let me post the video but it doesn't, I think. Also, they refused to give me a refund. I didn't care too much about the money. I cared about taking those bedbugs home with me. They ran an ad on Craigslist, $225 for the week.. I get there and they told me it's $260 +$5 for a key deposit... So you falsely advertise?!!? My room was dark and gross, small roaches everywhere and major bedbug problem. I stayed here for a week before moving to another gross motel (Newcastle has really went down the drain).

Not that I knew anyone but you weren't allowed to have any visitors to your room or even in the parking lot or they'd kick you out.

I spent most of my time sitting at the bus stop all day because of how gross this room was.
