I had an EXCELLENT experience at Stales today! The general manager, Alex, assisted me with what I expected to be a simple item exchange. Despite the fact that the ink cartridge I needed wasn't available at the time, he went far beyond a standard service assist. Alex researched online availability; helped me identify my rewards number (that hasn't been known for quite a while; corrected the store app on my phone & subsequently accessed coupons that could be applied today's purchase. Today was a remarkable visit✨

Worst service I have ever received. There were barely employees; the few that were there had no cross training. If you are a customer service employee or cashier you might not know the specs of the laptops but you should at least be able to tell me how much it is. No one could help me with a price. They kept pointing to a guy, saying he was the only tech there. Well he was busy with a customer who had a MILLION AND ONE questions. So I asked for a manager, they stated that the tech guy was the manager (his name is Monty).I tried to get his attention just so I can get a price on the laptop. That was all! I already viewed it online and did my research now I was here to purchase only. He acted like he didn't even want to do that. After he gave me the price, I said okay I want to purchase it, he stated that he was with a customer. He goes back to talking to the customer. After I pursue, he states that he is the only one that can grab it. What another inconvenience, you might as well run the store by yourself Monty. If you can not call on another employee to do a simple job then what are they there for. So I left and came back almost an hour later. Monty was STILL with the same customer now im angry because I don't feel as though I should have to continue to wait for a customer who clearly is confused and doesn't know what he wants when I am there ready to purchase. And on top of that the store was closing in about another hour. When I got back I waited about another 15 minutes before I had enough. Finally, he went grabbed the laptop and gave it to the cashier. Something he could of did earlier, I had to drive all the way into downtown Wilmington to pick up my child and back because he took so long when he could have said excuse me to the customer I am just going to get her the laptop. The room it was in was only 5 ft away from the customer. Would of took 2 seconds as It did when he finally decided to get it. So now here I am at the register finally paying for the laptop, he is trying to sell me other products. Sir; you was just with a customer and couldn't help me (the customer is still there btw), leave me alone I don't want nothing else from here is what im thinking in my mind. I decline the offer, pay and leave. After I left I realized he didn't want to just give me the laptop because he wanted to give me the sales pitch; and sell me other items. I walked in yesterday and stood at the counter for 10 minutes while the 1st employee working at the printing area just looked and continued chatting with the 2nd employee. Finally a 3rd employee who volunteered to come in that day said to them “Why do yall have this woman just standing here? You haven’t greeted her or asked what she needed!”. They looked, laughed, and continued chatting. So the 3rd employee started helping me although that wasn’t her area, but when she walked off I had additional questions. I tried once again to see if I could get help from the original 2 employees since by this time they were helping others around me. But once again, I was blatantly ignored. I decided to speak up and ask the 2nd employee for help and started that I’ve seen others receive help and her reply was “Oh I didn’t see you and I have other things to do.” Shortly after that, her and the 1st employee are whispering and laughing again. Mind you, employee 1 still hasn’t said ONE word to me. I ended up finishing my order with a male employee who had me squared away in less than 5 minutes. I did not get names as I was trying to remain calm and carry myself with class, but I do know that the woman has an African accent (I heard her tell a customer that she’s from West African) and she wears glasses and had on a pink headwrap. After reading the reviews, I must agree that the customer service here is not acceptable. I walked up to the computer repair counter and the gentleman behind the counter quickly looked at me and put his head down? So I stood there and waited.... after about 5 mins he looked at me again and said "sir have you been helped"? Very weird since he's the only one that could've helped me. Anyway all i needed him to do was show me how to return my computer to factory settings, and I was willing to pay, I work in retail and I know nothing's free... he proceeded to tell me that the cost is $130 because he would need to add a program after he performed the reset. Again I explained what I needed done, a simply factory reset, the same thing you do with your cell phone to return it to factory settings and again he repeated that he would have to add a program and doing the reset would not remove the passwords to gain entry to the lap top (lying to me because he didn't feel like dealing with me) I went to YouTube to figure out my issue and the only thing I had to do was hold down shift while restarting the computer... they were gonna charge me $130 for that and lied to make the problem seem worse...
