Do not stay here. I’ve honestly never seen anything quite like this place. We arrived a little early, and the staff, after finally being located by members of the renovation crew, told us we’d have to wait for check in time. That’s fine, perfectly normal, and not one of my problems. Another customer also showed up early, heard the same, and waited with us, while the staff we had spoken to went outside. So we waited. And waited. And, even after check-in time, just kept waiting. The member of the staff who had spoken to us and the other customers- and therefore definitely knew people were waiting in the noisy, seatless, lobby, didn’t arrive until more than twenty minutes after the advertised check-in time. By this point, a small crowd of customers was waiting in the lobby, with one man even repeatedly yelling “hello!” into the staff area in an attempt to find anyone who might help us. When the staff finally arrived, we found that there was apparently some sort of issue with the credit card reader, as every single customer had some sort of issue. The staff members didn’t seem to have any clue as to how to fix the problem, with the sole suggestion being that the customers should go walk to a convenience store and buy prepaid cards, in the hopes that the machine might take those instead (what they would do if it didn’t, who knows?). Finally, it seemed like each group of customers managed to figure out their own individual solution, although one man was still trying to work it out when we left. The scene at the counter was absolute chaos, as complaining customers were briefly attended, experienced a problem, and were turned away, more or less at random, with no line or attempt to solve one problem before moving on to the next. We briefly asked about the times of the shuttle bus to the airport, and the clerk gave an answer that turned out to be completely incorrect (if you don’t know, just say you don’t know!!!). After a short trip through the creaking elevator, we were greeted by a visibly dirty and dimly lit hallway to our room. The room itself was also unclean, and appeared not to have been swept or vacuumed for the last several guests, as lint, dirt, dust, and food crumbs, were visible on both the carpeted and hard surfaces. Since we had an early flight, we decided to shower and go to bed early. This led to a fresh set of problems, to our increasing lack of surprise. The shower’s hot and cold water were mislabeled, and it was only after some confusion that we discovered that, to get hot water, you had to turn the handle to the part labeled for cold water, and vice versa. It also proved more or less impossible to actually turn the water off, despite repeated attempts, and the shower nozzle proceeded to noisily leak water for the next six hours before mercifully stopping. Drying off also proved a challenge, as the hair dryer was filthy, and the towels were spotted with something that looked like blood. Even the hand towels seemed dirty and had a distinct odor that led to us simply using tissues to dry our hands instead. Finally, we went to bed, and shivered all night under the single pathetically thin blanket provided, being briefly awoken by loud noises and the smell of people smoking marijuana, apparently in a nearby room, since nobody was outside. If I had been smart enough to check the reviews first, I never would have stayed in this awful hotel, and my only hope is that anyone who reads this will avoid my mistake. I’ve seen other negative reviews on this page be answered, quite politely, by the management of this hotel, but, given how long these problems seem to have been going on, I can only assume that they either can not or do not wish to actually solve them. In all of their responses- some of which are several years old- they say they’re working to fix the problems mentioned. Given the state of the hotel when we stayed there, I have no choice but to conclude that this is and has always been a lie. I will be avoiding this entire brand of hotel, not just this location, for the...
Read moreFrom check-in to check-out, (5/16/2018 to 5/19/2018) it was a complete nightmare of a disaster. The first room we entered into was a mess (304), the shower would not shut off and water was all over the bathroom floor. The room stunk of body odor and the phone did not work when we tried to call the front desk. The second room we we were given (305), it was so humid in there because the wall unit fan did not go any higher than low. Coincidentally, the fan stopped working on check-out day and had to open the windows to cool the room down. I was forced to buy a box fan at the local Walmart so we could actually sleep with out sweating since this the wall unit issues wasn't a strong enough case to get a different room. The light in the bathroom was not working and had to have the maintenance man stop by to change out the bulb. The TV remote did not work, nor did the TV get anymore that a couple of channels and it wasn't until I upgraded the internet for the day we received up to 9 channels and they still went in and out on live TV. The manager, although accommodating for the issues we ran into, didn't really seem to care too much about it and just stated it was just our bad luck.
Amenities in the hotel was sparse at best, Toilet paper was under lock and key like someone was stealing it and we were on rations. The tissues were completely empty in the room, and if the idea of clean to them is running a vacuum on the floor and wiping down a counter is all that is needed, there is something seriously wrong here. There was a thick layer of dust under the night stand and soap scum visible in the tub. The hardware was water stained, but oddly enough when I wiped it down it cleaned up nicely.
The rooms conditions overall were sub-par, even for an extended stay hotel. The beds were hard as boards, pillows looked and felt like the ones you get at Kmart for 3 dollars. The drawers and desks were in horrible shape and falling apart. There were not enough outlets to satisfy the needs of having just the standard electronics to charge, you had to unplug lamps and clocks to have open outlets to charge devices. The key cards constantly failed and when paying $10 daily to park, there should be no issues here.
Overall the hotel stunk in the hallways, they were overly humid and smelled of old cigarette smoke. My sister stayed at that the other Tinicum location and she stated the room smelled of weed with similar issues with her room and needed to get a second room as the toilet did not flush.
Overall I would not recommend anyone going to the 9000 or the 8800 address until these issues...
Read moreDo not get a hotel here. Somebody stole my car off thier property that we paid $100 to park at. The security gates that they do have are broke and parts of it is scattered all over the ground. Im pretty sure that the person that did it was this young guy that was standing in front of the building for 3 days straight. Everytime he saw me he would stare me down until he couldn't see me anymore. He also caught the 108 bus up there and back. My car was the type that would turn heads and because of that I always paid attention to my surroundings. It was something about him that was real sketchy. Now that my car is gone, I havent saw him anymore. He light-skinned, looks young, black pants and all white air force ones. He also had one of those ski mask on his head. I know exactly what he looks...Somebody shared information about my car to him and he made it his duty to catch the bus up there to watch my every move! How yall let Somebody stand on yall property for 3 days watching people and not ask him his name or what room they in....yall are going to be held accountable for something and im going to see to it. Not to mention there is roaches which I have pictures of and the police report for my car. Let's not forget about the dumped beds, couches and abandoned cars in the back where they think people won't see it. They clean the front to make it look nice but as soon as you go to the back its a whole different environment. When we first checked in alesha the general manager asked my mom to write a review before she even saw the room. All the good reviews are not real at all, they was asked to give a good review. Im going to take pictures of the whole property so people can see the truth, plus my car being stolen. Something not right here and I dont care how long it takes, but we will get compensated for what we been through. Now I'm physically and mentally sick because I cannot get to work because of the hotel negligence. Police officer already stated that cars get stolen at lot out there which would explain why all the other hotels have a gate or a security bar to stop people from stealing cars. All the other hotels have one. This hotel has a gate but its broke with no effort to fix it evidently! So yes that considered negligence...and if my car was stolen because of an employee that works there, then all hell about to break loose. Even if I have to reach out to the district attorney, news station and the health department. I will not stop until I get...
