I couldn’t wait to write this review— my stay was amazing! One of the reason for that was the customer service that I received . . . More on that later (scroll to last paragraph). The rooms have the wooden like flooring, going away from the carpet that can look old and filled with stains. So I appreciate that this place doesn’t have carpet in the rooms but just the walk ways. Now the rooms have this modern aesthetic about them, definitely a place where you can relax and get some work done if needed.
Check-in was quick and efficient, which I appreciated after a long drive. The room itself was spotless, with plenty of natural light, a comfortable bed, and a desk area that made it easy to stay productive. Fast and reliable Wi-Fi was a major plus, along with charging outlets.
Each room comes equipped with a Keurig machine to make sure you start your day off with the morning coffee and energy you need for the day. Also you have a decent size mini fridge, to keep your drinks cold or all those leftovers. Which you will be able to heat up because a microwave is included in every room. Don’t worry they will not be an eye sore because a cabinet was built just for the fridge, microwave, and safe and shelf for others items you want to store. There is plenty of space for your clothes with two dressers (if you get the two room suite) plus closet.
The layout of the two room suite gives you plenty of space for a family of 4, or two couples with a tv in the bed and living room where the pullout couch is located. The only thing I wish they would have done is provide a door or a curtain of some kind to really give that privacy from both rooms, instead of being wide open.
Pool & Fitness Center: One thing I seen at this place, that I haven’t seen at the others hotels I stayed at, is this pool goes up to 10ft. That is insane, most cut it off at 5ft, but this allows you to drive and have a good swim. They were smart to have a line in the pool letting people know once you cross this point it gets deep. 6ft, 8ft, then 10ft. Of course they have a jacuzzi, but I think because it was 110 degrees outside is was off. Plenty of lounge chairs, and several tables if you want to place a game of cards, or board games, or do some work by the pool. The fitness center has dumbbells which allow you to workout every muscle groups, some other machines, treadmills, bikes, and a roll machine. Enough to give a decent workout, but the best part is, it’s 24hrs (how it should be in all hotels).
FOR THE COMPANY - The last couple of Hilton properties I stayed at the customer service was lacking especially at the front desk. I’m happy to say that at this location it wasn’t the case. From the moment I arrived “Luis”, was warm, welcoming, and incredibly professional. His attention to detail, patience, and genuine willingness to help made a lasting impression. It’s rare to encounter someone with such superior customer service skills—Luis truly went above and beyond to make sure my experience started on the right foot. Please pass along my sincere thanks and appreciation. Employees like him are a true asset to your team and make all the difference for guests like myself. Hopefully you have some kind of reward system, kudos, gift card or something that you can...
Read moreAttended a conference held at this hotel. The Hotel itself was nice, clean ect and staff professional while I was there. The problem came when it was time to leave. Parking is across the street from the hotel and you have to get a ticket when you arrive. For whatever reason, the parking lot attendant was having some sort of difficulty getting people out of the lot. Between 20 and 30 cars were piled up in the lot with one car at the booth. The slow crawl of cars leaving had finally ground to a halt. After 5 minutes of waiting and more cars joining the queue, people started to get out of their car to find out what the problem was. The person in the booth was not very forthcoming so people started calling the hotel to get a manager outside. It appeared that there was a mix of of guests, seminar attendees and office workers.
Two of the security guards came out (who had been very polite throughout the day, even offering to help me find my way when first arriving in the morning without myself showing signs that I was looking for help) to try and help diffuse the situation. At this point, people were honking horns and shouting. I never saw her arrival, but about the same time a manager arrived. She got the gate up and the first car went through then started to process the rest of the line.
Things happen and I don't care I can get over getting held up in the parking lot. There are worse things in life. What really drove me to write a google review, which I'm not sure if I've ever even wrote one before is that after trying to get out of the lot for a half hour, she asked me for 10 dollars. Even a third rate manager knows that if you have people stuck in your parking for a half hour trying to get out because of some issue at the gate you don't then proceed to charge them to get out. You say "I'm so sorry for the inconvenience, have a good day Sir/Mam" and hold the gate open so people can get out. Instead she delayed everyone getting out a little longer to make sure she charged everyone 10 dollars who did not have a validated parking ticket....which if you are attending a seminar at their hotel I don't know why your ticket would not be validated to begin with. Perhaps that is on the seminar itself.
The worst part is that half hour delay caused me to get stuck in the middle of the heaviest I-10 traffic instead of being a little ahead of rush hour. So not only did I have to pay the 10 dollars, but I got stuck in stop and go traffic for my entire drive out of the valley.
I like Hilton hotels and have never had a single issue with one until now. Like I said, things happen and I get it. It's just the absurdity of still being charged for the parking after such a huge delay. I strongly recommend that the hotel owner set a policy to deal with this situation should it happen again. I don't even want my 10 dollars back, just address the issue.
At least the security guard apologized for the delay getting out before i got...
Read moreI recently stayed at the Doubletree by Hilton Midtown Garden in Phoenix this past week the day before I was to check in to the hospital. I booked the stay over the phone with the nighttime manager. I made sure to ask ahead of time what amenities they had where they were located any type of discount discounts they may offer including a hospital rate.
I received both a text and an email telling me it was time to check in online that my room was ready so I did just that however when I arrived at the hotel, I was told my room was not ready so they moved me to a different room that supposedly was the exact same but it was not. The phone in the room did not work the security latch on the door to both the adjoining room and to the main door to the hallway we’re both missing completely. I used my cell phone to call down to the main desk and they moved me to yet another room.
When I arrived in the third room, I noticed that the television only intermittently worked as the Wi-Fi signal kept cutting out, so you really could not watch any television programs because you kept getting a error on the screen telling you that it needed to reconnect. I was informed by the young lady at the front desk there would be no breakfast because the restaurant was closed for repairs. The bar was also closed as was the pool and the Jacuzzi.
When I asked if they could send up any more coffee and creamers, they had nobody to send anything up because they had no additional staff on duty other than herself. Apparently housekeeping had gone for the day and they were short on maintenance staff.
I reiterated to her, so let me get this straight You advertise all of these amenities yet you are telling me the restaurant bar pool Jacuzzi are all closed, she said yes, and then mentioned unfortunately so is the gym. 🤬
she told me she was going to speak to her manager, and my stay would be comped however, that did not happen. I was charged the full amount.
I am very upset. This would be hotel was not worth anything more than a $50 motel six stay in my opinion. I attached pictures of the empty Jacuzzi the worn down broken part of where the pool is the cordoned off doors to the pool and fitness area as well as where the restaurant and bar is where it is blocked off. I also attached a picture of what should have been the amenities that were no...
