My wife I were in Phoenix for two weeks in Sept. 2018 while she had some treatments at Barrow Brain and Spine. We stayed at Extended Stay because it was walking distance from the hospital and it had a kitchen. She was in the hospital overnight a couple of times, but in between, we needed someplace nearby to stay.

The hotel was not great, but about what we expected. Everything was drab brown and beige, the carpeting was old and worn, and places in the hall it was puckered up creating a mild tripping hazard. The room was about 85°F when we walked in, but it was well over 100 outside. The lighting in the room was not good, but improved some after we realized that several of the lights had two switches which both needed to be on for the light to work.

There were some things that we did not expect. A wall lamp had been pulled out of the mount and was hanging by the wires. One outlet had no cover, so the wires were exposed. The bathtub was very slick with no mat or other provisions to avoid slipping. Our second day there, I slipped and fell out of the shower, ripping down the curtain and smacking the back of my head on the bathroom door. The next day, I bought a tub mat. But our biggest grief was the service we received. The manager Ryan Dickerman worked with us to adjust our schedule based on the treatment progress, and some of the staff were quite pleasant. But there was a universal resistance to providing us with basic amenities.

Our room even had a dishwasher, but the kitchen was totally bare. Then I noticed a stand-up card that explained that they take all of the kitchen items for cleaning, it showed items available including a toaster and a colander, and it said "Please contact the front desk to make your selections, and your customized package will be delivered to your room." I took a picture of it for the record, because that is a lie. I called the front desk to request some items. They told me that they do not deliver supplies to the room. I would need to come down to the lobby and carry them up myself.

I did so, but learned they had no provisions for transporting them, so I was limited each trip to what I could carry in my arms. Over the next two weeks, I would go get additional items. Every time they would give me less that I wanted. Once I asked for a third plate intending to use it as a serving dish for some chicken. The lady at the front desk said that there were only two guests registered in our room, so there was no need for us to have a third plate. They had both hand and machine dish-washing detergent, but there was no stopper for the kitchen sink. I asked for one of those and was told that those were not supplied.

Towels and linens were similarly rationed. There is no daily housekeeping by default, which was okay. Extended Stay is designed for those staying more than a night or two. Several days into our stay, I went to the front desk to ask for some fresh towels and was told that I needed to bring the soiled ones down first. When the trash can in the room needed to be emptied, that was my job also, so I carried it down the hall to the room labeled for that, then went to the front desk to get a clean liner. It took a while to convince the desk clerk to give me more than one so that I did not have to come down for a clean one whenever I emptied the trash. It was only dropping to about 90°F overnight, so we ran the AC all night. The unit was right up against the bed, so the fan tended to blow the blankets up, and the person sleeping on that side got blasted with cold air all night. After the first two nights, I asked for another blanket as there were no extras in the room. I was accused of wanting to use the sofa bed, which we were not, but apparently we were not authorized to do. Eventually, they begrudgingly gave me another blanket. When my wife got out of the hospital, she was finding it hard to get comfortable and wanted 2 extra pillows, but the hotel would only allow us to have 1 extra.

It felt like were were in a homeless shelter or that they were afraid we were going to...

This is interstate is very unprofessional unorganized. I Harassed by the general manager, Mike, and now the new general manager Also has started harassing me because of my complaints of waking up to Police every morning on two occasions dead bodies Were found in the rooms in my eight month stay here, then on top of that, I woke up to the police Surround the entire building at 2:30 in the morning because of four Missing women Was found here on the third floor in four different rooms by four different strangers being in traffic. Next night when I arrived here for work, I will stop by Teresa at the front desk explaining to me to be careful because I’m on a third floor and that’s where all the young teenager girls was found by the police from being trafficking and missing for months. So again I reached out to Corporate to file my complaints on my safety because I Also was staying on 3rd floor with my son and my daughter so I was placing concerns to make sure that we was OK. At the make place and concern about that that’s where Mike the general manager called me one early morning at work and told me Corporate wants me to leave. I asked why he had no answer. She began to say his new management now and Corporate once you’re gone.Due to me placing my concerns, I tried to make my weekly payment and I was rejected because I was told that Corporate wanted me to leave with no reason no explanation then I will serve eviction papers due to nonpayment when there was absolutely not true, they were refusing to take my payment. Every time I try to pay they tell me that they cannot take my payment and I had to talk to Mike and I know it was because of my complaints to corporate. After court, the judge rules to my favor that it was against the law to not accept anyone’s payment for no reason at all so they threw the case out, and my payment started out freshly now we going back to court 2 weeks later because once again, Corporate says they not honoring what the judge said so now they making me pay a total of $2500.00 when I say this has been the most embarrassing situation I have ever went through at an extended stay. I have been harassed disrespected, lived with roaches no Ac in my room no clean line is provided because I’ve been here long term and only the guest. Who’s here for a short term can get clean line. I have also made these complaints to Corporate no changes so now I will be returning back to court with my lawyer to file my own lawsuit against this particular location. So my advice to you is never ever ever bring your family here to stay. It is not safe. It is not clean. You will get harassed. If you make complaints about anything that they don’t agree with the employees are also strange that’s the best word I can use. So yes, this was the worst place I have ever paid 2000 a month. I stayed from November 2024 to June 2025, so yes, you add that up. Anyone that’s paying that kind of money to stay in a extended stay should be treated way better than how my family and I was treated. No excuses no explanation. my kids leave out for school crackhead laying out in front of our door. I’ll get up leave out for work crackhead out on the back steps laid out urine poop trash The horrible smell everything just on the back steps. I’m talking about so disgusting and the fact that I’m not from Arizona I know nothing about this place was even harder for me And to be treated like this for no reason at all I mean none was so humiliating for my family and I. so don’t ever file a complaint with Corporate if you don’t want to...

To start our 1 weeks stay, we had to search for a parking spot, which were scarce due to there only being 2 allowed entrances into the hotel. Also there were a lot of sketchy characters roaming around the hotel, and come to find out, a lot of them live in the hotel full time. Upon being checked into our room, I had to deep clean the entire room because of the smell, and very apparent lack of cleanliness. The floors ended up 4 shades of brown lighter after 10 swiffer scrubber heads. Our first night there, we had to get a new mattress for the pull out bed for my young son, because it was riddled with urine stains, and smelt absolutely horrible. The next day, Oct.31st, we received a notice under our door stating that the hotel would be having an outside company come in to do services on all of the air conditioning units in the hotel, and that we should expect a team in our room some time between 8am-5pm (which ended up then working well into the 8pm hours due to misinformation on actual unit counts) and that they could come at any of those times, between Nov.1st-Nov.5th. We did not have a safe in our room, so if we left the hotel room, we had to bring all of our valuables with us at risk of them being left unattended if someone came in to our room at a random time to fix the units. The men came in on Nov.4th, with hoses and vacuums to clean the units, and got a lot of our bedding and couch wet in the process, but were rather quick to finish our units with us in the room. During our stay, there was construction in front of the court yard entrance, which was highly trafficked, making it difficult to get around and in and out the door closest to our room. There was also an argument that broke out between 3 or 4 hotel staff and a large family that was due to check out, and went past checkout time. They were screaming and cussing back and forth for almost 30 minutes standing right next to the court yard for all to hear. When it was time for us to check out on Nov.5th, I began searching for a luggage cart to bring my belongings to my vehicle. There was not 1 to be found, and the front desk basically said they didn't know what to tell me, people must have them in their rooms. I ended up having to use a furniture dolly, which I borrowed from the guys doing the a.c. units. I ended up struggling pretty hard to get everything out of our room for well over an hour because of the amount of trips I had to take while not having a luggage cart. I wash rushed out of my room at 11:07 a.m. after the front desk lady entered my room to check that I was out, before I had fully emptied out my belongings. In the midst of trying to get out as quickly as possible, I ended up leaving my beautiful plush matching bathroom rugs (approximately $45 for the set) and didn't notice. I called the hotel right away after realizing, which was the next morning 5a.m., Nov.6th. I was told that they didn't see any items that had been put aside yet by housekeeping, but to try back at 8:30a.m., when they get in for work. I called right away at 8:30 and was informed that housekeeping had thrown them away while cleaning the room, and that they don't keep anything. They told me there was nothing they can do now, its gone now. They said to try calling back later to talk to a manager, but its still gone. I called corporate, they're contacting upper management and ill be reimbursed at some point in the future. Horrible stay. Wouldn't even...

What an absolute dump! This place is the literal definition of a roach motel. Do not stay here. I hastily and mistakenly made a reservation here to attend an event nearby as it is centrally located in downtown. When I arrived with my family at night there were many questionable looking “patrons” sitting outside. The staff was a friendly young lady and check in went fine. When I entered the “hotel” from a side entrance near the pool area there were more questionable looking individuals outside all smoking. Upon entering the hallway it reeked of marijuana. Mind you I was entering with my wife and 3 minor children. I get it it may be legal but I don’t want my kids around it. The hallway was dingy with stained carpet. We entered the “suite” which looked nothing at all like the pictures and the floor was sticky. There were stains on the wall and various dents in the drywall. The couch was collapsed and looked like something sitting in an alleyway. The bathroom was disgusting. The tub was permanently stained. The faucet was leaking. What was left of the grout was stained. There was garbage behind the door. The bathroom door did not close completely. I was applauded at the condition of the room. When I went to the front desk there was no one there. There was literally no one in the hotel after hours. It was unbelievable. I had made a 2 day reservation. We ended up staying only one night out of absolute necessity. We left very early the next morning. I talked to the staff who were actually very nice but they explained since I made the reservation through a 3rd party app cancellations had to go through the app, in this case expedia. I was not refunded for the second day but I was not staying there another minute. It was that bad. The place literally looked like a halfway house. The people staying there all looked like homeless people a d addicts. There were patrons walking around with no shoes or shirts in the hallways. This is by far the worst place I have ever stayed. Avoid it at all costs.

PLEASE READ! DON'T BOOK A ROOM HERE! From the arrival to our departure was a disaster. We requested and confirmed adjoining rooms as there were a total of five of us. We were advised by the front desk to review the room before we confirmed and paid to check for quality. (Red flag)I took the keys to check out the rooms. The first room (314) we viewed had weird furniture (from a garage sale it seems)and an unbearable potent odor of animal urine that emitted from the carpets. The second room(309) had a pullout bed/couch with heavy cosmetic damage. One of the teenagers slept on it without pulling it out since it was so bad. We retreated and was advised to review the only other room available which was 342. We had no choice but to accept it as the rest of our party was in 309. 342 had bloody mucus on the ceiling above the bed, a dirty shower and bathroom, and a shower curtain that was burned in several places. (Review pictures) Even though we had confirmed through the online booking as well as via phone for the rooms, they weren't close by each other. Also, as we walked the halls, the entire 3rd floor wreaked of various odors, and displayed damage to EVERY single door on the floor. It looked like a war zone, with doors looking as if swat teams had kicked them in on both sides of the hall. We soon discovered that this hotel had residents that lived there and little to no cleaning staff. On top of that, we were told there was a Continental breakfast from 630-9am just like our normal Hilton Hotels....it was granola bars and coffee. No actual food. I was offended and took us to Denny's. Also, early in the AM there was a domestic violence situation on our floor between a male and female. Law enforcement was never called, and it escalated. None of us slept well, staff acted as if this was normal and didn't care, and we couldn't even get an invoice printed, as if they wanted to hide the constant dilemmas. Don't book here!
