A must-visit for football fans and food enthusiasts, blending a vibrant atmosphere, excellent food, and great service and hospitality. This pub is a home for Manchester United supporters, with a bunch of screens ensuring you catch every thrilling moment. They open early for all United games, making it the go-to spot for Red Devils fans to cheer. The energy during matches is electric, perfect for enjoying “real football” with fellow fans.

The breakfast menu shines, with the English breakfast as the star. It’s a hearty plate of crispy bacon, perfectly cooked eggs, sausages, grilled tomatoes, mushrooms, toast, and beans, delivered with quality and generous portions. Other breakfast options are solid, but this classic is a standout.

Pair your meal with cold beer, served refreshingly chilled, from lagers or a hot coffee. The great service ensures drinks and meals arrive promptly, with staff whose warmth and efficiency enhance the experience.

The interiors are a treat, merging Irish pub charm with football passion. Adorned with club flags, scarves, and souvenirs, the decor creates a cozy, spirited vibe, with Manchester United flag in front on gameweeks. There’s plenty of seating, accommodating solo visitors or groups, and ample parking adds convenience for stress-free visits. The hospitality here is exceptional, with staff making you feel like part of the community, whether you’re a regular or a first-timer.

I love this place for its infectious energy, superb breakfast, and unwavering dedication to football. George & Dragon is more than a pub—it’s a welcoming hub where great food, drinks, and match-day excitement come together. Whether you’re a United fan or just seeking a lively spot with outstanding service, this pub delivers an...

I am a huge Manchester United supporter and recently moved to Phoenix. Naturally, I was thrilled to see that there was a pub nearby that displayed many of the games and was very excited to check it out!

Upon arriving, the server greeted us and was very kind. My partner and I were planning on ordering after watching a bit of the game. After some time, I noticed what appeared to be the manager glaring at us and taking to the server and kitchen staff. After about 10 minutes of continuously making eye contact with him, he came over to our table and very rudely demanded that we order something or leave. I had also brought in the last of my coffee to finish and was informed that bringing in any outside drink was strictly forbidden. The server then came over and apologized for the rudeness that was displayed by the manager and said that she had to throw out my drink.

I want to make it clear that I have worked in food service for many years and understand that restaurants have certain rules and standards, but there was no need for the blatant disrespect from the manager. Had we been asked politely instead of demanded, this whole situation could have gone so much better. As much as I loved watching the game and celebrating with my fellow fans, the way that my partner and I were treated was awful and ruined the whole experience. Not a very nice greeting to Phoenix and we will definitely not be returning. Treating people who walk into your restaurant as guests and with respect truly goes a long way. I hope this helps change that attitude...

Having visited George and Dragon Restaurant and Bar several times, I feel compelled to share my mixed experiences and, more specifically, my recent terrible visits. It's important to note that while some of my family and friends have had both positive and negative experiences here, I unfortunately say the same for my last two visits.

First and foremost, the customer service during these visits was truly disappointing. In particular, I had the displeasure of encountering a lady named Chelsea Selway, who displayed a level of disrespect and rudeness that was truly uncalled for. It's disheartening when the people responsible for creating a pleasant atmosphere for guests fail to do so.

Additionally, I found the quality of the food and drinks to be below par. Considering the reputation of the establishment, I had higher expectations, but unfortunately, they were not met. The flavors were lackluster, and the presentation left much to be desired.

While it's disheartening to have such negative experiences, I believe it's important to provide honest feedback to encourage improvement. I hope that the management of George and Dragon Restaurant and Bar takes this review seriously and addresses the issues at hand. It's crucial for any establishment to consistently deliver exceptional customer service and ensure that the quality of their offerings meets expectations.

I sincerely hope that future visitors have a more positive experience and that the necessary steps are taken to rectify these...

First time trying George and dragon.....and it was on a Manchester United match day 😮. It was a really cool experience to see so many fans show up early to support their club. We showed up a few minutes before opening. There was a group of about 5 people before us with white jerseys on. Then as the doors opened like 10 more people showed up with red jerseys on. Still oblivious to our surroundings,we see the TV's are all showing a soccer pregame and there's a local banner for their chapter of Manchester United fans. That's when we connected the dots. If you're on the fence about visiting, please go on a match day. That alone is worth the visit(Beware it gets loud). Within 15 minutes the restaurant was jammed packed with more people entering and standing, waiting for a chair or table to open up. On to the restaurant visit itself, dark dining room with a large bar. The server was as attentive as she could be but with what seemed to be 100+ people we saw her 3 times. When she first took our order, then we had to flag her down for a refill and flag her down for the check. Great service for the amount of people and tables she was serving. We tried the fish and chips and the shepherds pie that day. The fish was great, big chunky slices with a thin flaky battered shell. The fries unfortunately were not good, some were soggy, some were hard (semi cooked) and have a frozen food taste. The shepherds pie was good. Overall cool experience for the futbol club angle, the food didn't match the experience.
