E-Z 8 Motel Phoenix — Hotel in Phoenix

(OWNERS RESPONSE IS DOWNRIGHT LIE AND SHOULD INVEST I SPELLING LESSONS. LOOK AT ALL RECENT REVIEWS. PLACE IS GLORIFIED HOMELESS SHELTER. IVE REPORTED ALL THE TRIP AND FIRE HAZARDS TO THE CITY. THEY ARE BROKE AND CANT AFFORD A REAL MANAGER) THEY RECENTLY SOLD HALF THE PLACE AFTER DEFAULTING ON LINE OF CREDIT. GO LOOK IT UP!

Sorry but what happened is inexcusable and drastically outweighs any positives (price/location/plenty of hot water). Been staying there off and on since I'm working on a project nearby. On one occasion i tried to check in at 6pm and the office was outright closed... okay no problem. Half hour later they reopen and of course the line is 20 deep and they force you to wait outside in the 105 degree+ heat okay w_e. They put me in room 105. When I open the door it's filled with cleaning chemicals, and someone's belongings. Um okay. At midnight their is a loud KNOCK at the door. I open it and npbody is there. Security was kind enough to keep an eye out for a bit. I find out the next day that the room wasn't supposed to be rented. It had just been cleaned of all sorts of nasty pet waste. Carpet was still soaking wet. I couldn't smell it till the next day when the caustic chemicals wore off. Time befoe I was put in room 223 with an AC unit that did not work. They then move me to room 261 where the TV was an old circa 1982 15" tube Tv with spliced wires that didn't even stay on for more than 5 seconds. This last time I leave at 7am for work. Text to rebook my room for 2more nights and am told I cant because I had "two blacknwomen passrd out in my bed when housekeeping came to clean at 1230!!! UMMMMMM the heck I did. Either they broke in after i left or MORE LIKELY an employee let them in my room knowing I leave early on checkout day. Normally they text you at 9 or 10am reminding checkout is in an hour or two. This was the ONLY time they didnt. I was told "Lisa" the manger would call me. SHE HASNT. I called three times to speak to management and wasn't put through. CHECK SURVEILLANCE!!!!! When I was in 105 i came back to my room door LEFT AJAR BY HOUSEKEEPING. Find your employee giving people master keys or letting them in!!! This is DANGEROUS ILLEGAL AND INCOMPREHENSIBLE. OH AND maybe put the filthynpet owners on their own floor so people who choose not to live in filth and hear barking 24/7 don't have to! I'm gladly paying a slightly higher rate elsewhere. I really wish the negative reviews weren't really as bad as they seemed but this motel has continued to prove me wrong. I get it, you get what you pay for. But on their official website they had said we would have a fridge, only to arrive in a room with no fridge. We were informed that most of the rooms do not in fact have a fridge, we had asked to be moved to a room with a fridge but we were also informed that they had no idea which rooms actually had fridges. So we had asked to have maintenance bring one when they could, which we were assured that they would. Several days of calls and follows up and no fridge did in fact appear so our food did go bad. We later confronted the manager only to be told they acknowledge that their site lied to us but they refused to do anything about it. To their credit they do have an ice machine but you're not allowed to use it to fill up an ice chest as it has a small ice making capacity.

Up to the room there were holes everywhere in the building and carpeting on the outside. Paint chipping inside our room and friendly little roaches skittering outside and around the building. Don't expect any room service. There was also questionable red on our door inside near the escape route plan where I couldn't tell if it was a red marker or blood smeared on the door. To ease my mind I just didn't question further. The lamps in between the beds did not work and honestly I have no idea how they are still holding onto the wall. There were limited plugs around the room which made it difficult to charge what we needed. Walls were thin and I could hear the conversations from our motel neighbor. My friend had this piece of metal sticking out from under the bed that kept stabbing her everytime she got in and out of bed.

When I'd let the faucet run, little black specks would spit back up into the sink. I still don't know what that was.

Please please read the reviews. I get it, it's okay if your just passing by and wanting the bare bare bare minimum. The check in staff were nice and there's security that walks around. Although it wasn't the safest feeling motel. The manager though, i wish she was more compromising and understanding of our situation. I also wish she would have agreed to even a partial refund instead of gaslighting us. So here I am writing this review. At least it was close to where we...
