Tidbit of Az History-The fabled Lost Dutchman of the Superstition mtns, Jacob Waltz once owned the parcel of land this park resides on (his parcel was 7th st to 16th st, from Buckeye road to the Salt river) until a flood come thru here from heavy winter rains in Feb. of 1891, a canal ditch on his property had also overflowed. Washing away his home and all that he owned into the salt river. He allegedly was found on a cottonwood branch several days later awaiting the receding of the water. Read moreIt is a little park that has a decent playground , basketball courts , large ramada and tables. And plenty of area for cornhole, horseshoes or any other recreational game like those. Only downside to this park was the restrooms had signs on them saying they we’re temporarily closed however one side was not physically temporarily closed however this is not a restroom you would want to use unless it was a dire emergency and even then I would probably choose to try to hold it or just ruin my clothes before taking the chance of going the restroom in there.
