Taco Bell — Restaurant in Phoenix

Felt awkward from the moment I came in. I paid a visit to Jack in the Box before walking in for take out at this Taco Bell establishment. So I had my Jack in the Box to go bag with me walking in. As I walked in, it looked like the manager had just got done with her shift and her BF or bodyguard was right beside her. I ordered 4 items from the display kiosk. Got my receipt and waited. As I waited they both eyed me from head to toe as if I was going to rob the place. Then in Spanish, she said she was on her way home, then whispered something to to the cashier,and then they both gave me another look before continuing to walk out. I waited for my food for a couple of minutes until the cashier told me if I needed any help. I told her I was just waiting on my take out order. Then the workers all of a sudden huddled in the corner of their cooking area as I sat in the stool area of the dining room. Finally the worker gave me my food and I was on my way out to my Hotel across the street. As I walked out of the establishment the manager and BF were as though waiting on me to leave. I continued walking and turned back, then they finally decided to leave. Man, the experience was awkward as hell, and I had the feeling they thought I was going to rob the place. I get the area is not so pretty, but as a truck driver this is my only way of obtaining my food is by take out. I don’t know what they were both on, but their eyes of paranoia were obvious. I am sober but know when someone is on something, and they were all on something it seemed like. I’m eating my food right now and it came out good as usual, but the atmosphere was definitely not friendly. I guess they are used to zombies walking in like hobos and drug users. I’m 6’5” and happy go lucky but I hope this doesn’t happen on my next visit because this is the only spot that’s open late night around...

In the day and time we live in it is very important to treat guest with a certain amount of great customer service to ensure them coming and having a wonderful experience. The kids and people that we have to hire these days just don’t care or get it!! Especially because of how business models have change so much since the pandemic with restaurants not having to use front lines to take orders, choosing to not have a cashier and make customers fend for themselves on a kisko to purchase food. It is very sad that this is what it has come too. The individuals working in most fast food restaurants now have an even more lax attitude and performance about them even worse then before this all started. Here they rather tell that you have to help yourself then to even answer any questions related to the menu they serve. Also, if a customer purchases a combo at the self serve you should believe them when they ask for a cup if you don’t want to help them in the first place plus you should be telling customers what you and don’t have available if in fact you are out of items. This was the case. No sense of urgency, lack of concern for the guest, poor food quality, bad experience, food not prepared properly, a dirty dining room, being ignored at the front counter, out is soda choices, man oh man. I've been coming to this taco bell for over 10 years since they moved it's been the worst experience ever time I come in here to pay for my food. they girl behind the counter has the worst attitude of anyone I've ever seen or meet in my 47years the girl I talk to loves there food but I'm so stressed out knowing I have to deal with this girl last week I stood in line for nearly 12 min because I can't use the self order thing to place my order. just now Tuesday at 5pm I walked in there and place my order been 110% outside I asked for a cup of water so that miserable girl hands me a cup but ther dosent tell the machine. dosent work so after asking her group of friends if they would like some ice water I say thank you I would love some start to hand her my cup when she tells me sorry we don't have anything . I just heard you ask her if she wanted ice water and you telling me you don't have anything. how is that possible. something has to be done about people that treat other people the way this emote treats costumers she dosent like. as a matter of fact it's against the law not to give a person water in a buisness in AZ..... and now that I get my order home for me and a friend they completely messed every burrito I ordered up nothing is write this girl is on a power trip and now she's costing me money something needs to be done about...
