Valley inn downtown 11th Street and Van Buren is no longer a pay for a night motel it has been converted into transitional housing for people who have housing vouchers this was done with a grant provided by government for you during covid. Although building itself is very well-maintained rooms have been remodeled to a point clean no hose on the wall livable

Terrible. Unclean. Stained carpet. Less than a one star. Truly the worst I've ever experienced. $140? Not worth $25.00 per night.

Liked · The location can be good if you want to walk almost half an hour to get to downtown Phoenix. They have breakfast, however lame, but probably not worth risking it because the entire hotel is unsanitary.||||Disliked · Pretty much EVERYTHING! Wherever you stay, just do not stay here. We had just driven all the way from San Diego throughout the day. The check in receptionist just seemed bored to serve customers for starters and would hardly look at us (first clue!). When we got our key and got given room 121, the door wouldn't open after trying repeatedly (3 people) and we had to go back to reception (second clue!!) and the receptionist said you have to pull the door handle up (this is a standard door handle where you pull it down - really should have given up by now!!). So we tried again and it did not open again and by this time we were annoyed. We returned to reception and had to get a new room (the only other available room 122) which thankfully opened but the toilet did not flush. We had to get out so we asked them to fix the toilet while we are out (it was my birthday by the way). The room is overall very dusty and I have attached a photo of the chair which people probably had sex on and the hotel never threw it out or cleaned. We had also specifically booked a non-smoking room and we had to turn the AC on, open the door and get room freshener spray to get the smoke out. When we got back, the toilet was fixed and we went to bed. There was a thin (no idea what material but definitely not cotton!!) sheet to cover ourselves with. We looked in the drawers and found a blanket and a cockroach in the drawer! DISGUSTING! We slept in warm clothes with the thin sheet. Next morning, we found 2 cockroaches in the bathtub / shower and 1 more in the room! The coronavirus closures in USA were starting to kick off at the time so we had to cut our trip short but our last night we checked out of this hellhole and checked into the Tempest Hotel in Tempe (AMAZING!). While checking out, they even lied to us about who does the refund and kept picking up the phone and talking to other customers for ages. Just trust me and do not ever go there. We...

My wife and I stayed at the Super 8 by Wyndham Phoenix Downtown for one night during a road trip. This was the worst hotel I have ever stayed at. I know that it is a Super 8 and I was not expecting anything amazing but for a hotel you would think it would at least be an average experience with basic amenities but it wasn't. When we first pulled into the parking lot there were some sketchy looking characters. After we got our room keys we checked into our room and as soon as we walked in it smelled liked cigarettes. It was so bad. The room we got was a non smoking room but based on the smell you can clearly tell that previous people smoked in there. We walked around the room and noticed a small hole in the wall near the front door. Based on the size of that hole I would guess someone either punched or kicked the wall in the past and it was never fixed. The smoke alarm in the room was ripped off the wall so people that have stayed there before clearly smoked and the hotel management never cared to replace the smoke alarm. The blow dryer that was attached to the wall in the bathroom was also ripped out and missing. There was one towel for the 2 of us and when we asked for another towel they said they did not have anymore. The other hotel guests or possibly permanent residents were very noisy throughout the night and anytime they would run water we could hear it through our room. Based on all this DO NOT STAY HERE. It is not worth it even...

My "stay" was absolutely horrible! I WOULD HAVE TO SAY BY FAR, PROBABLY THE ABSOLUTE WORST HOTEL STAY I HAVE EVER EXPERIENCED TO DATE. There were WAYYY too many cockroaches whom were already residing in all different areas of the room including bed area near the headboard & walls as well as all throughout the bathroom including toilet, sink, and shower!! It was absolutely DISGUSTING! The room itself looked like it hasn't been properly cleaned in MONTHS! Stained, dusty old raggedy curtains that went along great with the entire feel of the whole room! The dingy, EXTREMELY FILTHY single "towel" that was provided was a pathetic excuse for a useable bath/shower towel at all. I was honestly appalled to say the very least! And to top it all off, I also got overcharged an extra $15 for reasons that we're not specified whatsoever or made clear in any professional manner AT ALL. I am completely disgusted all around to even have ATTEMPTED to stay at this "residence" at all in the first place after meeting the permanent roach 🪳 occupants who make the room their very own to them and their family! YUCK!! 🤢 P.S. Photos below show how the bathroom was when we first walked into the room...absolutely...
