I had an incredible time at Chase Field in Phoenix, Arizona, and it’s easily one of the most unique and fan-friendly ballparks I’ve ever visited! As the home of the Arizona Diamondbacks, this stadium offers a fantastic blend of modern amenities and classic baseball charm, making it a must-see for any sports enthusiast. Walking into Chase Field, the first thing that struck me was the retractable roof—a game-changer in the scorching Phoenix heat. On my visit, the roof was closed, and the air-conditioned comfort kept the atmosphere perfect at around 75-80°F, even on a 100°F+ day outside. The ability to enjoy a game without worrying about the desert climate is a huge win, and when the roof is open during cooler months, the vibrant Arizona sunset adds a stunning backdrop. The stadium’s layout is incredibly fan-friendly. The seats are well-angled toward the infield, ensuring great views from nearly every section, whether you’re in the bleachers or closer to the diamond. I was thrilled with the variety of food options—classic ballpark hot dogs and nachos were solid, but the local specialties, like the offerings at Rey Gloria’s, brought some delicious Arizona flair. The infamous “Churro Dog” was a fun, indulgent treat, though I’d recommend sharing it! For budget-conscious fans, the $4 value beers and $2 hot dogs at Doubleheaders stands are a steal. The pool in right-center field is such a quirky and iconic feature, perfectly capturing the Arizona vibe. While it’s reserved for group bookings, just seeing it adds a playful energy to the park. Families will love the Chase Field Sandlot on the upper concourse, with its mini wiffle ball field and playground—my kids had a blast! The Arizona Rotunda, with its art celebrating the state’s natural landmarks and the 2001 World Series trophy, added a touch of history and pride to the experience. Getting to Chase Field was a breeze, thanks to its prime downtown Phoenix location. I took the light rail, which dropped me off just a two-minute walk from the gates, and there are plenty of parking options nearby if you drive. The concourses are wide, well-signed, and easy to navigate, with TVs everywhere so you never miss a play while grabbing a snack. The staff was welcoming, and the overall atmosphere was electric, especially with a lively mix of D-Backs fans and visitors cheering for their teams. Chase Field may not be the flashiest ballpark, but its unique features, fan-focused design, and vibrant energy make it a fantastic place to catch a game. Whether you’re a die-hard baseball fan or just looking for a fun outing in Phoenix, this stadium delivers an unforgettable experience. I’m already looking forward to...
Read moreThis is not a breastfeeding friendly environment. I came here with my 5 month old for his first baseball game. He is 99% breastfed and I knew beforehand that I’d likely have to either breastfeed in my seat, or in a bathroom. I tried my seat first but my baby was too distracted by the commotion of the game so I opted for the “inclusive” private restroom nearby. There was privacy, but the broadcast of the game was playing over the speakers incredibly loudly for such a small room. My baby was just as distracted in there despite the privacy, and I still had to sit on the toilet to try and nurse him. Later, I finally conceded to nursing him in the women’s restroom. It was a lot quieter in there so I was much more successful, though I still had to sit on the toilet to nurse. This is when my experience really deteriorated. Three girls stepped into the stall next to me as I was finishing nursing and they started smoking a joint. I booked it out of there so quick as to not expose my 5 month old to that. Then my baby pooped. I asked my husband to change him as I felt incredibly disgusting and overstimulated at this point. Chase field does not have changing tables in the men’s restrooms. I am so angry about this. He tried to access the nearest inclusive restroom like I had tried earlier but it was in use. I was forced to use a different women’s restroom which had a changing table in between a sink and the paper towel dispenser. The close proximity to these two things invited all of the women (and little boys) into our space while I’m cleaning poop off of my baby’s butt. I even had one woman comment on my child’s genitalia while she was grabbing a paper towel. I missed about 2-3 innings over the course of the game. There is no reason a lactation pod can’t be installed somewhere in this very large stadium. There is also no reason a changing table can’t be installed in the men’s restroom. Fathers are in fact capable of changing diapers. I’m so disappointed with this experience. I was really looking forward to this game and making new memories as a family. I would have to recommend that you don’t come here with your infant if they...

I'm happy to share my experience at Chase Field, home of the Arizona Diamondbacks!
Standout Features
Comfortable Stadium: Chase Field is a modern stadium that prioritizes fan comfort. The seating areas are well-designed, and the overall atmosphere is welcoming.
Good Seating Options: The seating at Chase Field is generally good, with a variety of options to suit different preferences and budgets.
Safe and Clean Environment: The stadium is well-maintained, clean, and safe, making for a pleasant experience for all fans.
Great Views: Depending on your seat location, the views of the field and surrounding area can be excellent.
Climate Control: One of the best features of Chase Field is its retractable roof. On hot Arizona days, the roof can be closed to create a more comfortable atmosphere, making it possible to enjoy the game without overheating.
Downside:
While Chase Field excels in many areas, it doesn't quite have the same historical charm as some other stadiums. For fans who appreciate the nostalgia and character of older ballparks, Chase Field might feel a bit more sterile.
Overall Experience:
Despite the lack of historical appeal, our experience at Chase Field was enjoyable. The staff were friendly, the food options were decent, and the game itself was exciting. The ability to close the roof on hot days is a huge plus, and we appreciated the comfort it provided. If you're a fan of modern stadiums and don't mind the more contemporary feel, Chase Field is a great place to catch a game.
Rating: 4/5 stars
Will we return? Yes, we'd definitely consider coming back.
