I was a walk-in who found this place, only open one week, on a phone search. I walked in, showed the front desk person the various 'quotes' for rooms under various apps, asked if she could just give me a good rate, AAA or better, rather than me going through the apps to get the 'best' rate. She quoted me a studio, one night, and i don't remember the exact amount, but I recall it to be about $124, which was higher then the apps on the phone. I said ok, checked in. At same time they had me put my credit care in twice, once for the room charge, once for the 'incidentals'. When i got my credit card bill the next month, I found that they had charged me nearly $100 more then they quoted me on the room, then they charged my credit care $100 for 'incidentals' I had purchased a bottle of water, and they charged me $100? I called them, and they would not confirm the fact that they had charged me $100, the only would say they refunded me $97; the 'refund' came a week after they charged me $100 for nothing. So, in short, they did not charge me the room rate they quoted me that night, and then they charged me $100 so they could hold that money for a week and then 'refund' me the $100 less the bottle of water. Oe top of that, the 'manager' hung up on me, because i asked for an accounts person's name and number so i could find out why the $97 'refund' did not show up on my credit card. Long story short - nice place, but low integrity personnel, with questionable charging practices....
Read moreI had a stay of about 2 weeks at Water Walk. They had only been open about 6 weeks. I stayed alone in a one-bedroom unit that turned out to be much more satisfactory than my subsequent stay at a resort in Scottsdale.
The staff was very welcoming and friendly, always greeting me upon departure or arrival.
The main floor had comfortable space to watch TV or have a cup of whatever you chose!
My room was comfortable. I did a little cooking but someone had spilled something in the oven that hadn't been cleaned up and it made the room smoky. The kitchen was ok for eating but not really great sitting for long periods of time.
The washer and dryer were great for the extended stay. It was nice to be able to access Netflix. I may have been able to cast but didn't try since I could log in to that service. I had to log in every time I turned on the TV which was a little annoying. A nice big screen TV in both the bedroom and the living room.
Fire pits and outdoor seating out back looked enjoyable. Sometimes people were a bit loud which was hard since I was working on east coast time and often had to get up at 4 am!
My only wish would be for a desk. I really had problems with comfortable seating I could use...
Read moreI travel often and stay in a lot of hotels..particularly in Phoenix. I was, hands down….completely impressed with this property. The accommodations were beyond what any other property offers at this price. The rooms are top of the line in technology in every way imaginable. There’s a washer and dryer along with complimentary detergent and softener IN THE ROOM. The kitchenette includes any cooking utensils you need and I mean everything. The beds are amazing and the house keeping staff doesn’t bother you at all. And check out is 12noon not 11am. Meaning they expect you may want to sleep in a little. Down in the lobby they have coffee, hot chocolate and even toppings for your beverage including marshmallows, chocolate syrup and even carmel plus whipped cream. For puppy owners they have doggy treats as well. Everything was clean, well stocked, and the staff was quick and helpful. I HIGHLY recommend staying...
