July 2023 UPDATE: We got Hepatitis A from this place. It is spread in food from a contaminated person... which means that whoever is working here is infected and spreading the virus to customers. So if you got sick after eating here, get checked. We are still recovering from it weeks later!!!
May 2022 Update: This place and its food are going downhill. Prices are increasing, quantity is decreasing and the quality of the food is no longer as good. We very rarely go here anymore.
1st REVIEW (3 stars): Traditional Chinese food in Arizona. Thank you. Real Chinese hot mustard, finally. Good portions but you pay for it. We eat here often. We pick up and take home. They messed our orders up twice so far. And one other time the portions were extra small and quite frankly insulting!
They're expensive! But I will pay good money for good traditional Chinese food with good quality and good portions. However, I won't pay for poor quality food or small portions. They were great when they first opened but now they seem to be slacking off a bit. Our last order had stale egg rolls, undercooked rice, the wrong dish and the portions were really small.
Now, we always have to check to see if we are getting everything: the right dishes, all the sauces & extras we ordered and PAID for and not getting extra- small portions. So it is not the most pleasant experience when ordering from here as a result. A bit nerve racking now.
But if you keep up your good quality, good sized portions and your traditional menu; you will have my business. If not, you're just too expensive to waste my money. So I hope you keep up the good work and keep providing good food like you did...
Read moreWe ordered take out: 2 (2pc) vegetable egg rolls, General Tso's Chicken with side fried fried rice, and Mongolian Beef with side Lo Mein.
We did a walk-in to-go order. We were greeted as soon as we walked in. The staff at counter were very friendly.
We sat at a 2-top table while we waited. The place was very clean. There were a few tables dining in and a lot of take out. They have a couple big screen TV's with sports on but the volume was either low or muted which was nice so you could enjoy your meal if dining in.
We didn't have to wait long at all for the food - no more than 15 minutes.
We didn't check our bag until we got home. Unfortunately the egg rolls were missing so we can't comment on their taste.
I ordered the General Tso's chicken extra spicy but it wasn't spicy at all. I am wondering if the cook thought "X-spicy" was "no" spice/heat. I didn't see any whole chili peppers in the dish. Although I was disappointed the dish wasn't spicy, it was still tasty and good. The side of fried rice was also good.
My partner ordered Mongolian Beef with a side of Lo Mein. There might have been confusion over this dish as well because it didn't look like or taste like Mongolian Beef. Instead it looked like and tasted like Beef Lo Mein. Perhaps the cook thought the order meant Beef Lo Mein with the noodles on the side. Again although the dish wasn't exactly what we ordered, it was tasty and good (Beef Lo Mein).
If there was an option for 3.5 stars, that would be more accurate but I am giving 4 stars - friendly staff, clean, inviting space, quick order prep, overall food was good, but egg rolls missing and both entrées not...
Read moreWhen I first came to this play it look like it would be a cheap excuse for Chinese food and thought it wouldn’t be good but when I looked inside it was really clean and looked really cool and the prices on the menu and happy hour were really cheap me and my grandma ordered orange chicken,California sushi rolls, and coconut shrimp the waiter was really nice and took our order and not too long afterwards our food came it looked amazing and tasted great the sushi rolls was one of the best sushi rolls I’ve tasted the ingredients tasted really fresh unlike most sushi places the cucumber tasted fresh and the avocado did too and the crab was the best but the best thing that brought the flavors together was the rice the rice was sweet and had a nice taste that works with the ingredients. The coconut shrimp tasted really good too it had the shrimp taste and it had a great coconut after taste and then the main event the orange chicken was the best orange chicken I’ve ever had it had the good taste of spicy and having a orange taste work together better then most places honestly the best Chinese food place ever it deserved it’s...
