Disappointing/devastating Stay at Majestic View Cabin- managed by Cabins on the Smokey Mountains

I don’t even want to give this property a SINGLE star— it should be in the negatives!!!! Our recent stay (June 15-22) at the Majestic View cabin with 40+ people (11 families) was highly disappointing due to several issues. Beware NEVER book here! Here’s a summary of our experience:

Cleanliness: The cabin was dirty and dusty upon arrival. 1/2 inch of grey dust on base boards, curtains, behind beds and lamps Plumbing Problems: Toilets were leaking, and every time someone showered, water leaked from the kitchen ceiling, we set pans out in the evening to catch the dripping water. Non-functional AC: The air conditioning did not work, making the stay uncomfortable for the first 24 hours. 4 families had to sleep in the heat! Broken Furniture: Cabinet doors were broken and missing, adding to the overall sense of neglect in the kitchen. Bed Issues: The cabin was three beds short of what was advertised on the website. We had to go buy blow up mattresses since management could not help. Lack of Amenities: There were NO towels when we arrived to host 40+ people! No garbage cans in the bathrooms, and insufficient bedsheets and pillowcases for the entire house. We had to go purchase bedsheets and towels to last the first 2 days because no one would bring us any - we saved our receipts to be reimbursed! Hoping we do- we can’t get answers from anyone. Charcoal Grill: The grill was in a disgusting state and unusable. Ovens: dirty and smoked when we first turned them on. Hot Tubs: Both hot tubs were non-functional - one was broken and the other had a leak. Owners had not approved to purchase a broken part so the listing is inaccurate and misleading. 10.WiFi: The WiFi was weak and unreliable due to an outdated router. Poor Property Management: The management was poor and rude, and they never returned our calls. We are still trying to get in touch with them to have them hear about our complaints. We drove to the office to speak to a manger and the door was locked. We called and had to drive to their 2nd location- no manager on duty. Still waiting to have our complaints handled days after checking out. Tons of missing equipment. Not enough serving ware to host even 10 people. We had to buy a few items and save our receipts to be reimbursed. Overall, the cabin did not meet our expectations, and we would not recommend it to others. The owners should absolutely find a new management company — one of the maintenance guys said a bank owns the property —...

My time with family over the Christmas holiday was amazing. Nothing can stop our strong family ties and sharing of love. The God-created views of the mountains left you speechless. However, so did the condition of this cabin. First of all, good customer service and quick resolutions are high on my standard list which was not provided during our stay AT ALL. We had to call the customer service line/ welcome office several times for broken patio railing, dirty futon/bedding, filthy shower curtain liners, and garbage spillage of the overran dumpster, which attracted bear visits. None to the minimum of our complaints were addressed. This company FAILED on all sides. The cabin was never cleaned from the prior renters' stay and clearly not from the previous ones either. There was evidence of this in every corner of the cabin. This was totally unacceptable!! The cabin needs a thorough deep cleaning (especially with Covid still looming around). The floors were dirty and the furniture, futons, and bedding are very dated, dirty, and totally need to be replaced. Half of what we paid for the 4-night stay would have taken care of it. Needless to say, I would have scored a (0) if it was possible and would never recommend anyone to stay here and have the same or worst experience. This place was one of the most beautiful cabins with a spectacular view. But that's where it ends. The rooms are dated with incredibly thin blankets. The hot tubs had bad filters and needed to be changed. They only came to fix it after 5 phone calls. The rooms where not cleaned the way they should have been In one room there where a previous guest dirty laundry and in another there were empty Angry Orchard on the side and under the bed. This is absolutely unacceptable. The theater room was a nice plus for a large group but one of my friends sat down and the chair collapsed and he is only 140lbs. The back chair also had loose nails. Also, The dishes in the cabinet where not clean. My friends and I literally had to wash out our tubs, showers, and dishes before using. I believe anyone who stays here should know that it is indeed a beautiful cabin, but the amenities are subpar. When spending 2500 for 3 days the property should be well kept. Among other things, I also stepped on piece of glass the first night, literally swept the floor and pieces of glass were under the back couch table. Again, unacceptable. Whomever is the 3rd party contracted to clean this cabin, should totally...
