Clabough Market — Local services in Pigeon Forge

First I'll say I've been a patron here for almost 30 years... The market is ok, a bit pricey but on par with most other convenience stores in the area. They also have a campground here so the store carries some camping, fishing, and hardware items. The grill is hit and miss. There's always someone different cooking lately - sometimes the food is good, sometimes it's fair, sometimes it's just bad. They used to serve hot plate lunches and homemade chicken, pimento, and egg salads, and really good desserts but haven't seen any lately. They still offer the chicken, pimento, egg salad sandwiches but it's processed stuff now and...

I get in there at 2:07 wanting a grilled cheese and a cup of soup and "they close at 2" because they can't stay staffed. How are is it to make two of the simplest things and only being closed for 7 minutes? I would have paid extra to get it done but this small local businesses obviously didn't want my money! Obviously the grill was still on because I could hear sizzling on it and there was still cooks in there. What a shame... Small local businesses like this rely on us locals to survive and they can't make two simple things because they have been closed for approximately...

We are still here, but so far we love it! There are 2 swimming pools, a playground, a community area with fire pits, a store, a restaurant, etc. Everyone has been very friendly and helpful here. Our cabin was clean and stocked with extra linens when we got here. I have been very impressed, so far, and plan on coming back. The only issue I had was when I realized they charged my credit card, the full amount, 2 weeks before our reservation. I probably didn't read all the fine print...
