Every other year, my sister and I go on “Sister trips”, and our goal is to hit all 50 states. Last week we went through Montana, Wyoming, and Colorado. I booked this place thinking it would be kind of a cool idea and a different place to stay than a hotel. I can’t stress enough how amazing this place was! I was instantly greeted by a very kind woman who walked me to our cabin, showed me inside and explained that she turned the heat on for us, she had fresh ground coffee waiting for us and hot chocolate and explained a little bit of the history of the cabin (which I love because I’m a nerd when it comes to old buildings). I told her I was not from here (from Florida) and she was quick to pull out a map and to show me where all of the good food and sites to see are. We had my aunt with us on this trip and she lost her toothbrush! She had walked up and asked the woman (and I am so sorry I cannot remember your name!!!) if she had any extra toothbrushes and without hesitation, she offered my aunt a toothbrush at no charge. Not once have we ever expected anything to be free, and my aunt offered her money for the toothbrush and she refused. The kind gesture, the love for the little town that they are in, And the warm and inviting atmosphere makes this place feel like a home away from your home. I do not write reviews often. I think this honestly might be maybe my third review and I have never been more excited or proud to write this review. If you want a really nice stay at a quiet cabin and get a good authentic Wyoming experience, I highly highly recommend this place. Again we have stayed across the country in multiple different locations and I have not once felt the need to write a review About how amazing the place was to stay at. We want to definitely go back to Wyoming to explore some more since we only had two days in the state and I am telling you right now we are absolutely, 100%, going to book here for any future trips Regardless of how far we have to drive to anything we’re gonna see. Thank you so much for the hospitality and I can’t wait to see...
Read moreI don’t know if I can even sum up in words just how perfect our stay was at the Log Cabin Motel!!
The owners, Sophia and Forest, are incredibly friendly and helpful, showing they want their guests to enjoy themselves from the moment they arrive. After providing us a map of the Pinedale area and showing us a few “must see” places, Forest walked us to our cabin to show us around and to make sure it would fit our needs. During a power outage of the entire town, Sophia was checking on all of the guests and making sure that we had flashlights and communicating with us that the town was working on restoring power. (You won’t get this customer service at a large hotel!)
The cabins are darling and cozy, and anything you could possibly need during your stay, they have provided. I appreciated that they provide so much history of the cabins for the guests, including having pictures hung on the wall in our kitchen area of the cabins from the 1940’s.
The cabins and the grounds were very clean. The pride the owners and staff take in the grounds is evident everywhere you look.
Please do yourself a favor and book a couple of nights at the Log Cabin Motel. Then, take a small step back, relax, and simply enjoy yourself. Have a picnic lunch or dinner (they have grills available for use) on your...
Read moreOur travel hockey team (15 kids) was looking for a special experience for our athletes, and WOW, we happened upon true gems at the Log Cabin Motel & Gannett Peak Lodge. Sofia & Forest were incredible to work with, as I negotiated 15 total rooms across the 2 properties. The location was perfect for our team; it provided space for the kids to play hockey outdoors & run around together to explore the property. Sofia took the time to create scavenger hunts for the kids, adding to the fun. Honestly, the kids know they went to Wyoming and they know they played in a hockey tournament, but what they talk about the most is the experience and fun of the Log Cabins and Mrs Sofia (how sweet & kind she is). The parents also enjoyed the stay, commenting very positively about the staff & location & accommodations, and how their kids talked about the experience. Whether large groups or individual, take advantage of the special opportunity that both of these properties provide; you will be amazed. However, the true treasures are the owners, who remained open beyond their intended closing date, to give our team this experience & made lasting memories for our kids. We will stay again...
