I booked 2 rooms here for 1 night stay and I was not disappointed. First of all both office staff ladies were very nice and helpful. Secondly the rooms were extremely clean. I didn’t like the beds at all because they were not comfortable. There is no box spring just a mattress on a platform style board. This was easy to overcome because it was just for one night. Not only was the rooms clean but so was the entire property including the pool area. The trash cans around the property needed to be dumped but other than that I give the cleanliness a 10! There is no coffee pot in the rooms but there is free coffee and tea in the office and it was fresh and delicious. The shower curtain had a musty moldy order to it like most shower curtains get and needs to be washed but the shower itself was spotless! The motel is pet friendly and although I didn’t bring my dog the kids enjoyed seeing other peoples dogs. This motel is about a 7 min drive from the beach. There is free WiFi with no password needed and is considerably cheaper than most all the motels in the area and it has a pool. I’m not sure why there is so many bad reviews for this motel but I wouldn’t pay much attention to them because they are not accurate in my opinion.

It was overpriced for the condition of the room and the wifi they advertise was spotty. The shower had good water pressure but was tiny and claustrophobic. I'm 5'2" and not large by any means and I barely fit. They only provide a tiny bar of soap, so make sure to pack your own shampoo and conditioner. The thermostat seemed to have 2 settings: too hot and too cold. The linens were stained and there was a cigarette burn in the sheets. There were cobwebs in corners, a shoe print on the bathroom floor a tiny bit of mold growing in the shower. Pool did not seem to be heated but that might be the time of year. The checkin and checkout were lacking in the customer service department. One of the ice machines was out of order, leaving only one which didn't produce very quickly. All of this I might have been willing to overlook if the prices were typical for a motel but at more than $170 per night my expectations were a bit higher.

Don’t let the photos fool you. There was mould engulfing the walls, behind the toilet laid a dormant bacterium beginning to form, the room smelt of pure bleach almost eradicating all of my sense of smell. There was blood stains on the bed, on the walls and in the carpet (That part was a joke but considering the state of the room I wouldn’t be surprised). Our lock that was meant to “protect” us was completely busted in and during my sleep a woman woke me up around 4 o’clock in the morning as she was peering endlessly into my room through the begrimed windows. Although the location is bewitching I would recommend staying somewhere elsewhere closer to the pier in Pismo.

Update: They obviously didnt read my review before reaponding below because i have already contacted them in every imaginable way and have not received ANY comunication back.Your generated response is offensive!

I will begin by saying i booked this weeks in advance. It is a 6.5 hour drive her for me and the lady at the front desk (who I now know as Ericka) almost did not let me stay here. I would actually like someone to look at the videos of this encounter as it was extremely inappropriate! I was literally shaking as a result of the stressful situation. It was around 3:00 pm, give or take, on 3/22/25. When I entered, 'Ericka' was helping someone else. She asked me if I had a reservation. I said yes. She said, "we don't have air conditioning, we aren't giving discounts. My sister will be in to help you in a few minutes. I've been working for 7 hours and I am off." I didn't say anything. She then lifted her head and aggressively said, "is that okay?" I mean, I wasn't happy about it and I definitely wasn't happy about how she was talking to me but, I told her, "I don't really have a choice." She immediatly said, "well I can just cancel your reservation." I told her, no, I just drove 7 hours and won't be able to get another room last minute. I'll take care of it later in my review." She said, "I don't need to deal with you. I'm just canceling your reservation." I asked her her name and she agressivly said, "what's your name?" I asked for a supervisor, then the owner, without success so I told her i was going to call corperate because i think we need a mediator."  She repeadedly said, "no, im just canceling your reservation." Another lady came in (i was told her name is Michelle, the sister) and started saying the same thing, "we're just going to cancel your reservation." So now they're basically tah teaming me and insisting they are going to cancel my reaervation. I asked Michelle to please not cancel my reservation." After this continued for a bit, with some cussing from the Ericka, Raymond (maintenance) stepped in and calmmed the ladies down enough to get Michelle to check me in to room 139. I profusely thanked Raymond for his intervention. I do have to say, if it werent for Raymond, this would have been a much bigger issue. I was now quite late to dinner with my family and did not get to go to the room. I was also extremely upset about this because i had just gotten into town after a 7 hour drive and was looking forward to seeing my grandbaby who i only have limited time with. This really had a negative  impact on everyone involved. When i came back to the hotel, around 7 pm, i went to the room and neither key worked. After a couple of attempts at trying other keys, i was given another room, room 145. The keys didn't work in that room either. Finally, Raymond came to the rescue again. His main key was working but ours were not. He offered me the only remaining room but it was a smoking room. I told him, "at this point, as long as it has a bed and keys i don't care." By this time, my grand baby had gone to bed and I missed getting to see him. I will only get to see him on Sunday now. I have written the Motel 6 corperate office about this with no response. Honestly, I would not have been terribly upset about the air conditioning if the staff had not been so abusive and wasted so much of my precious time. I was literally only in the room both nights from 10:30 pm-7:30 am. I am still waiting for the owners or corporate to contact me to rectify this situation. This was a lot more than just a bad hotel experience! The threatening tone of Ericka was extremely disturbing! As far as the room goes, it is pretty much what would be expected for a motel 6 except, I DID NOT want to have to sleep in a smoke ridden room, and the...

They put me in a room with no tub only a shower , which would have been fine if the tiny shower would have had a shower curtain. The next morning I took the drenched towels to the office , because they said if I needed new towels I had to bring them down to the office. I told them there was no shower curtain , they said they would send someone up with a curtain , when the maintenance man came in with curtain he realized there were no hooks for the curtain. He said that was ridiculous and asked me if I would like a different room , to which I replied yes please and 🙏 Thank you so much. He brought me back a key for a room a few doors down. I had accidentally left my brand new Garnier Avacado seed Shampoo and Conditioner in the old room and so I went directly to the office and asked if the maid had turned it in to office they said they would ask her and that they would give me a call , so up to my room I went. A few hours later the phone rings and it was the ladie at front desk , she said the manager wanted me to come down to the office , that she wanted to speak to me , so I went down. The ladie at the desk said mngr. was on the phone and handed me the office phone. The manager told me that her housekeepers do not take people's shampoo and conditioner and that they were only empty bottles , and that I was to get my belongings together , leave the motel and that I would never be allowed to stay there again. I said ok and went to my room to do just that. Well I had already told the young ladie at the desk that my roommate and I worked for all the local mortuaries and that we had picked up deceased people at this motel a few times and I believe the young ladie told the mngr. after she got off phone with me because , while I was getting my stuff together to leave the motel phone rang , the desk clerk said that the mngr. decided she was going to give me a discounted night . But I chose to look up the cost of The Best Western Casa Grande Inn , to my amazement it cost the same. I know this is a super long mess. but I forgot to tell you there is no coffee maker , no microwave , no refrigerator or any amenities. I got me a room at The Best Western on Oak Park Boulevard and I could not believe the difference ! They had coffee and Tea , Coffee Maker , Refrigerator , Microwave , Bathtub and Shower , Wonderful Shampoo w/ coconut and argan oil plus conditioner and body lotion. Iron ironing board , heated pool , Hot tub and men and women's Sauna ,, and I have got to mention a Deluxe Continental Breakfast and even evening Hot Chocolate , Coffee and Cookies in the evening in The Lobby. Historical Old Spanish Themed surroundings , a garden path and benches. And Here is the part that blew me away , it was the same price 80.00 a night 🌙...

We liked that it's 5 min from the beach. We appreciated Chris and Patrick.|I told you above what you can improve but I'll put it here incase you chose not to read it in the upper part of this survey!|The bathroom toilet had a sewer/unclean smell coming from the toilet and when the air was on it was worse!. THIS room was a NON SMOKING room BUT the adjoining room was a smoking room and the smoke from cigarettes and weed was coming through the adjoining door!!! I'm extremely allergic to cig smoke..I get asthma! This needs to be changed to BOTH smoking or BOTH non smoking rooms!!!! We had to be moved that night to another room.. the handicap room! The morning people, Chris at the desk and maintenance man Patrick generously moved the Microwave and fridge to that room. So no more smells from toilet but the shower head needs fixing as it sprayed everywhere but where it was supposed to and the the sink faucet sprayed water everywhere!!! The 2 night person's were very rude and told us they couldn't move the 2 appliances and for us to go buy a cooler! They also weren't going to let us keep our food in the fridge overnight so we could resolve this issue in the morning with someone more qualified. They wanted us to return the key card after we settled into the handicap room because we "might rent the room out to someone else for the night"!!!! We refused to do so!!!! In the morning they had the maid cleaning the room with our fridge stuff STILL THERE in the fridge!!! Patrick stopped her until he was able to move the fridge otherwise we may not have gotten our food back!!! We were very disappointed that we had to get our towels every day from the front desk! Covid has brought alot of laziness to businesses including Motel 6! We almost always choose Motel 6 and this is always where we stay when we come to Pismo except the last time 5 yrs ago when we stayed at Premier Inn as their prices were cheaper but this will be our last time staying at this motel!!! We were in Pismo Beach for TWO WEEKES to celebrate our 50th wedding anniversary and we were put through THIS hassle with rooms and those mentioned issues, along with the rudeness of your night employees and having to take care of our own linens and trash and we couldn't even get a discount for all the above issues!!! I only gave 3 stars because of Chris and Patrick otherwise you would have received 1 Star as that's the lowest star I could give!!!|I was unsafe healthwise because of the smoking in the adjoining room! We were told that our situation was NOT the first time because of the smoking issue and cooperate had chosen NOT to resolve the issue previously!!! Obviously the health of your customers is not...
