As a travel enthusiast, I'm always on the lookout for hidden gems that offer great value for the price. My recent stay at Oxford Suites Pismo Beach was a delightful surprise, exceeding my expectations in many ways. As a 3-star hotel, I wasn't sure what to expect, but I was thoroughly impressed by the accommodations and services offered. Upon entering my suite, I was struck by the spacious layout. The room was well-designed, with a comfortable king-sized bed, a separate living area, and a large desk perfect for working or planning my day. The amenities were modern and clean, with a large flat-screen TV and a mini-fridge stocked with essentials. One of the highlights of my stay was the hotel's complimentary offerings. They provided snacks and drinks before dinner in the evening, which was a lovely touch. The breakfast buffet was also impressive, with a hot selection of items like scrambled eggs, sausage, and pancakes. It was a great way to start the day without breaking the bank.Another plus was the hotel's location. Being just one exit away from downtown Pismo Beach made it easy to drive or catch an Uber but another good thing is that the hotel offers a complimentary shuttle service available from 10am-9pm. While the pool area was smaller than expected given the size of the hotel, it was still a pleasant spot to relax and soak up some sun. The surrounding area was well-maintained, with comfortable lounge chairs and tables. If I have any criticisms, it would be that the Wi-Fi connectivity could be improved. At times, it seemed slow or dropped out altogether. However, this was minor and didn't detract from my overall experience. Also, the onsite gym was very small, no more than 2 ppl at a time In conclusion, Oxford Suites Pismo Beach is an excellent choice for travelers looking for a comfortable and affordable stay. With its spacious rooms, generous amenities, and convenient location, it's hard to go wrong. I would highly recommend this hotel to anyone seeking a budget-friendly option that still offers great value.

Not much to write home about, this was probably one of my worst experiences at a hotel/suite. To begin with, I feel like a lot of the pictures and reviews are very deceiving— this is not a nice quality place to stay. We booked the family “suite” and i would not consider it as such. Hotel room was dirty; everything from the sheets to the bathtub to even the glasses in the room. Sheets had stains marking them all up, as well as other people’s hair. A/C did not work in the room, but they were able to get it fixed at least. Bathroom was dirty, toilet was dusty and had other peoples pubes on them still. Not to mention the no-slip mat they include is a whole danger itself. it is broken, with no suction to make it actually stay in place so once the water is on it slips and slides everywhere. I am pregnant and was not prepared for that and slipped and fell in the shower because of it, my youngest daughter also slipped and fell on it before we pulled it out and stopped trying to use it all together. The shampoo, conditioner, and body wash provided was completely empty, luckily we brought our own. Shower was NOT user friendly, luckily my husband is a plumber and was able to explain how the shower valve worked. The glasses provided to drink drinks in the room were dirty, with the previous person who stayed in the rooms lip marks on them still. House cleaning is either overworked or does not care for their job.. Can say the pool area was nice, the beds were comfy, and the complimentary drinks they provide were cool— that’s probably all they have going for them. The last thing i can say was i was extremely disappointed how check out morning went. Twice every hour since 8AM they had house keeping knocking on the door to tell us check out is at 11AM. We felt rushed, bothered, and just frustrated by our experience at this point. Knocking at 8AM and waking up my kids was my last straw. We travel a lot up and down California and have never had this experience with check out at a hotel.

Unassuming all suite property just minutes to the action in Pismo. Conveniently located just off the highway and is neighbored by a Denny's as well as a gas station with mini mart just a next door (3 minute walk) for snacks or necessities. The staff was AMAZING! VERY friendly and accomodating. The room was CLEAN and the property, while aging, was impeccably well kept. They are very pet friendly and even gave me a collapsible dog bowl as well as dog treats at check in! VERY nice touch. Only mild complaints and constructive criticism: Pool view rooms have an actual view of the pool, not the staircase in front of it. Breakfast.. adequate but I feel like it wasn't cooked on-site but rather brought in and warmed up.. It did the job but I opted pay for Denny's right next door on the second morning. Reception (Welcome cocktail and savory snacks each evening).. Green salad and bottled dressing are NOT savory snacks, or bar fare that makes patrons want to linger and enjoy the lounge... Nobody wants a beer and a green salad :-) Hot Water Pressure... This was a big one and needs to be addressed. In the morning (7-10am) it is almost impossible to take a shower. The hot water pressure was non existent... Like you could stand under the shower head for literally 5 minutes and not get your whole body wet. It was so bad that my travel partner had to stop me from taking shampoo to the hot tub to get clean...

I enjoyed staying here. The rooms were nice, the food was good and I really appreciated the enforcement of being quiet after 10pm as we had our little one with us. They give you 2 free drink voucher for the bar for every day you stay and that’s also for breakfast as well. The bar was really nice and had a laidback type of feeling which I liked very much and also a fire place right outside which was nice as well. Also they give out free chili in the bar. My only 2 complaints was that me being a 6’5 dude the showers were small and alittle too narrow for me which would become a problem if I wanted to stay for more than 2 days. The pool area was clean and nice with plenty of space and they also had a nice spa on the side. They also had a kiddy pool but it was being serviced. The gym was nice with enough to get in a great workout. The scenery around the hotel is nice and even though you’re next to the freeway it’s still pretty quiet. My only other complaint would be with having an issues with one of the service ladies in the kitchen as my table was cleaned and ready for the next client even tho I wasn’t done eating and I had just got up to get some juice. I didn’t appreciate that the worker proceeded to argue with me instead of just admitting that she made a mistake, apologize and continue with her shift. I also didn’t appreciate that she felt the need to go and tell the cook about it and specifically point me and my table out which is just all in all seemed extremely unprofessional, making a small deal into something bigger. I was really annoyed and wanted to speak to the manager after that as it was extremely embarrassing because it happened in front of a lot of people as it was peak breakfast hours. Manager wasn’t there until a couple hours later. Once I finally spoke to the manager, she was very apologetic, but she wasn’t the one that made the problem. I’m not one to try to take advantage of these situations, but I just felt like it could’ve been handled a whole lot more professional with the manager understanding the problem as a whole and talking to the employees rather than making me feel like they were listening to my issue and it just blow over. I never received an apology from the employee and I only received an apology from the manager over a text message, which didn’t Feel genuine. I only make this a big deal because in the hotel industry, your number one factor to make it or break it for a lot of clients is your hospitality skills and how good you are at customer service. The situation that happened in the kitchen was extremely embarrassing And I just honestly feel like it could’ve been handled differently and been taken more seriously. Other than that, it is a nice hotel. I will not lie. I would more than likely stay again, but only if it’s for a night or two that the showers are a little too small for me. The bathroom in general is a little bit small, and the sink being outside the bathroom, which also bothered me a bit. I think I would’ve been more comfortable stay there alone rather than with my family. There was enough space for everyone to sleep but the bathroom situation was a bit frustrating. Nice hotel, it’s clean, professional in every aspect expect for my specific encounter but it wasn’t enough for me to NOT recommend to other because I will. If I go back to the pismo area And don’t camp it would be between this hotel, the sea venture, or another two nice hotels I can’t remember the names of currently.

Ps: The bad and the couch were extremely comfortable, and the pullout bed was also comfortable for being a pull out bed It was pretty convenient to get the suite that had two TVs as my daughter could watch what she wanted and me and my fiancé could watch something on the other TV It’s pretty equipped to service, single people, couples and families and like I said before the scenery around the hotel is very nice. I just had a minor problem Which I wasn’t taking care of, which is Rate...

My stay was 4 nights and I brought my small dog. The rooms were very outdated and mine smelled of dog urine. It was a pet friendly room but I was surprised they had carpet in half of the room considering not all dog owners are responsible and have potty trained dogs or don’t leave them alone all day. The bedroom area was the carpeted room so when I laid in bed or got dressed, I could smell the dog urine. The bathroom also smelled of dog urine. I know I could have complained to the front desk but I was already tired from driving all day and it was likely all the pet friendly rooms had some urine smell due to carpeting in the rooms. They do not come clean the room, empty your trash or bring more coffee during your stay. You have to either call the desk or put it outside your door. I was on the bottom floor on the end. You can hear the people above you but otherwise it was relatively quiet. Since I was there for sightseeing, my dog and I spent very little time in the room except to sleep. The other reviews seemed to have excuses from the management and no resolution so I just made the best of it and I enjoyed my trip. I wouldn’t stay here again or recommend it. The refrigerator froze all my food by my 2nd day. There was so little door on the freezer part so basically the whole fridge was a freezer. Since my dog eats fresh food that requires refrigeration, it froze the food so we had to thaw it out before we could feed her twice a day. It also froze our beers and waters we had brought. The free breakfast option wasn’t very good. I tried it twice but wasn’t a fan. The free drink and appetizer was nice to come back to each evening. The staff were friendly and the hotel is very close to the fwy. I feel the cost of the room was quite high for the outdated room so I will not be returning. This is my first hotel stay since Covid so I just wasn’t use to not having my room cleaned, supplies replenished each day when I returned in the afternoon. I guess since Covid, they no longer offer this daily service. I’m giving 3 stars due to the pet urine smell. I am thankful I was able to bring my dog but this hotel really should not have carpet in a pet friendly room or really any hotel room. The past 3 years the review response says they are refurbishing the rooms, but it doesn’t have that many rooms so I...
