We were a group of 2 who stayed the night of Friday 9/26/25. This was our first time staying at this hotel. The room we had was a double queen bed. The room was very small with no room to place luggage and hang jackets. One of the beds was literally right next to the air conditioner and there wasn't even a digital clock next to the night stand. This room was poorly designed with cheap furniture. The breakfast was very basic with limited options.
The evening of our stay, we tried to use the TV and the channels were not even activated even though the manager, Mayur, told us everything would be all set when we checked in that morning. Plus there wasn't clear directions on the thermostat to adjust the temperature and unselect the auto setting. When we called the front desk, a young woman by the name of Arti said she will come to take a look. When she came to our room, she didn't know how to activate the channels and had to videocall the manager, Mayur, for assistance. She was not professional or understanding to our situation as well as very rude and arrogant! We addressed to her the fact that the air conditioner was right next to the bed which can be uncomfortable to sleep next to. When we asked her how to adjust the temperature and unselect the auto setting, she also had no clue and bluntly said with a nasty attitude that "you should have gotten a room with a suite!" Her demeanor was unacceptable and when we asked for her name, she said "I don't have to give it!" and walked out. We were flabbergasted by her childish and arrogant behavior that we addressed it to the manager the following morning before we checked out. It is a disgrace to have a staff member like Arti work for a Hilton hotel branch treating customers like they're garbage when they need to have their concerns addressed during their stay. If a customer is unsatisfied with any part of their stay, a REAL professional staff member would first apologize, be understanding and compassionate, as well as go out of their way to resolve any issues and make their customers happy.
We expected better customer service and respect for the money we paid for our stay. Due to this experience, we will not be returning to this Hilton...
Read moreDo not stay at this hotel. I recently spent one night here while visiting family, and they charged me $200 days after I checked out because they claimed I stole a blanket from the room. I have been a Hilton PLATINUM member for 20 years, staying at Intercontinentals all over the world. Why in the world would I come to Wilkes-Barre to this no-name CHEAP hotel and steal such a gross used item as a blanket. I attempted to rectify the situation with the front desk manager with no resolution. His response merely was that they were a brand new hotel and had pictures, indicating inventory. He also claimed that they had tried to contact me multiple times via phone, though no number is listed on my account. I requested proof of pictures to be emailed to me, and was then hung up on. I immediately called Hilton corporate, who spoke to the same manager on my behalf. I was then told he would drop the charge from $200 to $100! I found that highly insulting and very fishy. I'm currently disputing the charge with my credit card company. Needless to say, I will never stay there ever, I will stick to QUALITY hotels. PLEASE check your invoices and credit card statements, as I'm sure this was not the first time something like...
Read moreStayed here 3 nights for a wedding we were attending. We were so pleased with this hotel and the staff. After reading many reviews we switched to Spark and it was a good decision. Entering the lobby you can tell it had been renovated. Neil at the front desk was very pleasant and efficient. The room itself was clean, bed comfortable and bathroom spotless. Towels were a bit thin, but they did the job. One of the nicest things about the room was the lighting. Plenty of it! I always find that lighting in most hotels is not great. We had a king room, it had a small couch and a chair beside the bed. Plenty of plugs for electronics, space on the night stand and the table under the tv actually had a pull out piece that made it into a desk. There was a small stool that you could use with it (perfect for applying makeup). Breakfast was just fine. Some reviewers indicated it wasnât much, but itâs free breakfast and there were plenty of choices for us, especially the granola cereal that I love. If I had one complaint, it was that there was no safe. But Iâm not deducting any points! All in all,...
