I resorted to write a review about my service since the owner of the Cafe ( Jeff ) has not replied to our request for him to call us regarding our baby shower that we paid $500+ For. I really wanted pizza and wingbites as the main thing for my baby shower since it was lunchtime. When they gave us a sample of the wing bites they made at the Cafe , they were so good!! The sauce was mild , and dark red, and thick..HOT and just perfect !!!!! But for my baby shower they were cold and the sauce was SO watered down!!! I could tell because it wasn’t thick anymore, or dark red like I remembered it! It was like light red water that you can see the chicken under it. Also, the little sandwiches we got were not fresh. I wish they would have made them that morning but they tasted like they were made a day or two before and put into the fridge . For refreshing fountain drinks all they provided for my shower was unsweetened brewed iced tea(ew) and RC!!! I wished there was a variety of sodas not just RC ( which I absolutely hated since I was little) ...... for the pizza, I LOVE Anthony’s oldforge style pizza!!!! I asked him if I could order it and bring it to my shower! He said I don’t have to do that, that he the owner himself would order it and have it at my shower ! I was so excited and happy that he said he would do that for me!!! ( he just had to put it on the bill and I figured maybe charge me for him picking it up, which I didn’t mind!!) but let me tell ya , right when they brought the pizza out I KNEW it was not Anthony’s !!! It was really thin and cold, and the sauce was GROSS! But they still swore it was from Anthony’s ..... so I had my grandmother call the owner of Anthony’s ( bc they are friends) and of course, it was NOT from Anthony’s . I cried , I literally cried after my shower and for a few days after.... the thought that I had to remember it forever made me so emotional. The waitress we had that helped us was extremely professional, and very kind * The room for my shower was very nice * My advise to anyone having a party there would be to create a contract with the owner first so everything will be perfect for you... I just trust people and what they say, I will not do that anymore . Remember , we asked for him to call us back bc we wanted to talk to him. He never called. So I wrote a review on my experience .... it doesn’t mean anything to him, but like I said I will remember it forever and it makes me so sad everytime I...
Read moreThis was without question, the worst burger I’ve ever had from a restaurant.
Overcooked with zero seasoning, sloppy and loaded with mayo. So much mayo that the dry Kaiser roll just falls apart.
The burger had this weird thing going on where it also fell apart in segments. Probably because the patty wasn’t formed well and was overcooked. The patty itself was SO small. For the price I’d expect a much bigger patty. I don’t know I guess that’s why they load it with all the other junk and a huge roll to hide the patty.
The bacon was just mediocre, it may have been crispy at one point but if it was then all the mayo made it kind of gummy. Still, probably the “best” element of this burger.
The lettuce was a little brown, the rest was yellow and somehow not crunchy even though there was so much of it. They literally just chopped a wedge of lettuce and stuck it on there, didn’t even spread it out.
The tomato slices I got were the tiny ends of the tomato and were mostly skin. Yum.
The whole thing was just a disaster. A cheeseburger from McDonald’s is better than this. If a restaurant can’t even do a “deluxe” burger correctly then I’m not even going to bother with anything else on the menu I’ll just go somewhere else.
The menu on their site said the burger is $10 but order online and it’s $12.50, nice. And why not just include fries for that price. What a ripoff, you give a meager amount of loose potato chips instead with a couple (2) of pickle slices which surprise, combined with the steam of the burger in a takeout container it makes the chips soggy.
Never again. Complete waste of money. Wish I took a picture but I tossed it and went somewhere...
Read moreMy family took me to dinner for my birthday. We ordered appetizers and entre's about 6 pm. After the appetizers were cleared away, we waited for entre's. At 7:20 I asked the hostess, because the waitress had not come to our table, where our dinners were. She said they had a large party in a private room. Ten minutes later they brought 4 dinners, luke warm and one inedible, mine. It was pod thai, a dish of cold dried up salty noodles. I sent it back. They returned it in the same condition. Once again, the hostess, not waitress came to the table. When called I told her it was still cold. I did find one of those large succulent shrimp, but that too was dry and rubbery. The noodles were stuck together. She then asked if I wanted them to remake it. At that point I had lost my appetite. Not because I didn't have my birthday dinner, but because my family who tried so hard to do something nice for me feel bad. The owner, who I have met before, did not even come to the table. Yes, we have been to the restaurant before, so this was a complete surprise. We won't be going back. Oh yes, as they presented the check, the bus boy handed me a bag with a complimentary dessert. Turned out to be a tiny wedge of cheese cake. More like insult to injury. No. I didn't eat it. Don't like cheese cake. Lol. Too...
