Great location, some of the front desk staff is awesome, manager and maintenance not so much. I checked in on Thursday December 5th. I was supposed to check out on Thursday December 19th. After paying $800 a week and $100 for a pet deposit, everything was fine until 1:00 in the afternoon on Sunday the 15th, knock on my door out of the blue it was a lady with a clipboard saying she needed to do a visual inspection of the room. Ok, no big deal, so I go outside, I come back in 15 minutes later she's gone no issue. I leave and come back about an hour after that to find out that neither of my keys work, so I go to the front desk to find out why and the guy says my manager wants to talk to you. something about a broken smoke detector and a broken drain? Come to find out someone had taken the smoke detector off the wall, the mount was still there with the wires tucked inside the mount, but the detector wasnt there. Which, clearly I didn't break the smoke detector or take it down for any reason. But, I was told I needed to leave the hotel, that I was no longer welcome there because of the missing smoke detector that I didn't even notice until I was over a week into my stay. Because I'm just not one of those people. And there was a drywall patch on the wall, something was attached to the wall and was removed at some point, the maintenance guy patched it over and hadn't gotten around to painting it yet, she asked me what the white spot on the wall was and I said it looks like a patch and then she asked me how I did that? Like WTF you can clearly see that something was attached to the wall and removed.so now here I am Sunday with nowhere to go at 3:00 in the afternoon after paying them over 1600.00 to stay for 2 weeks. With no issues. She started telling me how it's a legal issue that they can't rent a room to somebody with no smoke detector, like that's my problem. Clearly whoever did the checklist after the last person checked out either lied, or never checked and assumed it was there. Like WTH am I going to do with a hotel smoke detector? I have bigger things to worry about than if my hotel has a working smoke detector in my room. I didn't even notice it was missing until I was over a week into my stay and figured it was no big deal. So yeah currently sitting in my truck waiting for them to refund the rest of my money, so I can go check into another hotel because I gave them literally all of my money when I checked in. Oh also they're going to charge me over $100 for their $10 home Depot smoke detector. I'm assuming the maintenance crew isn't the best here, the back door on the side by the parking lot has been broken for over 5 months, the latch doesn't work and the door is propped open by a rock so literally anybody can access the hotel at any hour. The vending machine in the lobby doesn't work, the elevator is extremely slow, like noticeably slow. I used to like this hotel and would have given it five stars had they not throw me out on the street for something that I had nothing to do with. After talking to the manager and getting absolutely nowhere, to the point of being accused of stealing or breaking a stupid smoke detector, also, the metal cover over the drain hole in my shower was missing the two screws that held it down, so it was just sitting there loose, when I pointed that out, that it was like that when I checked in, she waved me off like no biggie.....I assume they overlooked the smoke detector and realized it was a liability issue, and since I didn't notice it or document that it was missing, they saw an opportunity to blame me and play CYA... I'd give them zero if I could. And I'll be taking the thousands of dollars I spend a year on hotels somewhere else. I don't know if this all came about because I spilled coffee on the comforter of the day before and had to have it changed, but, that's what I paid $100 deposit for. Like this literally all came out out from the blue. So take pics, of everything otherwise you might find yourself out a hotel room, and a...
Read moreAmazing in all ways would very highly recommend! Ok so my boyfriend and I had sold our home at the time of closing of the home we still had not found another home so we called around to get quotes on hotels until we were able to obtain a new home we called ESA here in Port Charlotte Florida explain to them what was going on and what their monthly rates would be the front desk girl was very very nice and explained everything very well so we decided to book with them it is a newer hotel upon walking in for our reservations it smelled very clean floors and all were sparkling not to mention the smiling face when we first walked in and said hi how are you folks today how may I help you explain that we had reservations that we would like to check in front desk said they would be more than happy to help us so after we put the money down for the room they made us the cards for our room and said we hope you enjoy your stay it is a free story hotel and all three floors allow pets which was amazing to us because of the fact that we have a larger dog that they accepted without a problem we ended up getting a first floor room when we got to room to unload our personal belongings I was totally amazed on how beautiful the room was had all laminate wood flooring smelled very clean and looked very clean now I have been in the housekeeping business since I was the age of 16 so when I check into hotel rooms trust me when I say I look at everything from behind dressers refrigerators countertops bathroom showers the bed the whole nine there was not one speck of dust absolutely no hair in the bathroom pulled the sheets back to make sure there was no stains or hair on bed in which there was not I even checked the vents for the AC unit which most people don't check but because I've been in the hotel business for so long I just know all the little places to look for dirt dust and bugs to my surprise they were also nice and clean them are one of the most common places that housekeeping will forget to clean after I checked just about everything in the room I walked down to the front desk and told them that I was very satisfied in the room was very very clean and thanked them also let them know that during our stay there would be no need for housekeeping as I would be cleaning my room they said that is not a problem at all and told me when I have dirty linens just to bring them down to the front office and they would gladly switch them out and let me know if I needed anything else just to let them know and they would be more than happy to help if they could so jokingly at the time I said yes I could use a broom and dustpan that way I would be able to sweep the floors no questions asked they went and got me a broom and dustpan and told me I can use it as long as I was staying here to not worry about bringing it back until we checked out which was amazing to me things though it's saved me a little bit of money by not having to go out and buy my own we were also told that they have dishes that we may use because they have little stove tops in the kitchen area to cook on and full size refrigerator which were all absolutely amazing we have been here for just a little over a month now and no matter how many times we go down to front desk weather it before for new linens trash bags anything that we may need they are right on top of it with a smiling face I cannot recall not once seeing anyone with a upset face or bad attitude when asking questions or just casually walking by front office or down hallways to do laundry or go out to smoke a cigarette now I would like to give a shout out to some of the employees here that I most interact with first the general manager Trent is awesome takes time to answer any of your questions and don't brush you off as if he is trying to rush you and is very friendly front desk girl Brittany is just one of the sweetest people ever and head of housekeeping mella who makes sure that these rooms are as clean as...
Read moreWORST HUMAN TREATMENT OF ANY HOTEL NEAR BY. A woman got kicked out of her room for accidentally getting period blood on a towel, instead of simply asking her to replace it or pay, they forced her off the property!!
Now let me share my terrible experience, me and my boyfriend (both 16) are currently homeless and have been staying in hotels for a month now. My mother was on her way to the hotel to book us another day when checkout time had already passed, so we had let the front office know our situation. Dawn was very understanding and considerate, the female manager Reinymar came up to our room to let us know checkout time had passed, but after letting her know my mother is coming to book another night she said it was perfectly okay and they can wait for her.
Once my mother showed up 30 minutes later, Reinymar said “you can’t stay here anymore.” First the reason was because they needed to clean the room, so we asked for a different room but then she said it was because we didn’t pay at 11 and that we now had to leave the property. When confronted on why she hadn’t just told us to leave initially, she said “you had to be out at 11” but that literally makes no logical sense because she came to our room at 12 and said that they COULD wait for my mother to get here for booking. When my boyfriend went up to her and asked why she didn’t say it was an issue prior, she shrugged and said “it’s policy, i don’t need to tell you anything.” The issue is she DIDN’T care about policy when saying she could wait for the payment.😒 When we told her she was being inconsiderate for lying about us being able to stay, she literally had the face of a guilty 4th grader like she knew she was in the wrong!! Continuing to shrug and say she didn’t need to answer any questions. Lmfao then she said “i could wait all day”? Which made no sense because she JUST said the opposite, it’s like she’s two different people or something??? She also kept trying to blame her employee Dawn by saying she was the one who handled the call, however Reinymar came up to our room herself AFTER the call so she should have handled it right in that moment.
We wouldn’t have had an issue at all being kicked out for checkout time passing, that’s simply policy. But it’s different when a crappy manager lies to your face saying you CAN stay, just for her to pull excuses out of her 🫏 when the payment was about to be made. Also a hugeee roach was in our 4th floor room the second we walk in. Also for over 400 rooms, they only have THREE small luggage carts which really shows how much they care about customer service.. Dawn should be manager with how respectful and lovely she was! Maggie also seemed pretty nice over the phone. Only thing nice about this place is the stovetops. Reinymar is an Irresponsible terrible manager that should be fired for her incompetence and lack of...
