Waited for months for this new ice cream store to open and I have to say it surpassed our expectations. Store is cute and very clean. Has an old fashioned feel to it. The many different flavors to choose from is amazing. The owner was very gracious and patient with us as my grandkids got to sample different flavors before choosing. Delicious ice cream, took me back to my childhood. My granddaughter had the “hangry captain” in the freshly made waffle cone. I had the Raspberry Cheesecake with white chocolate chips, my grandson had the Salted Carmel. So delicious! The kids were the quietest they have ever been. I started going here when I was pregnant. Nothing beats ice cream when you’re pregnant but captains ice cream is the best of the best, the very best. We can’t even go to Publix without stopping there because the kiddo can smell the waffle cones from the street and asks for ice cream. When family comes to visit we go to captains. I had a disappointing experience with the ice cream service. The staff member who scooped my ice cream provided excessively large portions that were uneven and poorly presented, with melting ice cream overflowing the cup. Despite indicating that the portions were too large for me, I was not offered a suitable solution until another staff member handed me a cup, which was more manageable.
