Not sure where to start. We had to evacuate from Florida due to hurricane Milton. We showed up an hour early and asked if we can get an early check in. No big deal either way but the face that the man at the desk wouldn’t even make eye contact and just gave us a rude “no” started things off with a sour taste. Boy oh boy did it get worse. The room we checked into smelled like urine feces and smoke. The cleaner was outside and agreed about the smell and said she doesn’t know what to do about it. The ey did let us change rooms. The other room was filthy. Pillow cases had dirt and the other looked like it had dried blood. I tried to get a refund through booking.com. And that was an entire mess in itself. They said we had to get a refund through the hotel. Never got the refund. In the morning I woke up with a bed bug on me. I went to the front desk and was greeted with the nastiest attitude I’ve ever experienced by the lady at the desk. I told her about the bed bugs and she thought it was appropriate to argue with me and said they don’t have bed bugs. I told her I took pictures of it in the room. She said everyone says they have pictures. I thought that kind of proved my point but to this lady she doesn’t care and would rather accuse everyone of lying rather than listening. She threw her hands up at me and I actually had to ask her “are you trying to argue with me” she just yelled and listened to nothing. She said get out I will refund you for the night. Great. That’s all I wanted. When I got back down I waited 10 minutes ringing the doorbell for the front desk. She would not come out and ended up sending the cleaning lady which was once again rude telling me the other lady at the desk told me that she won’t refund me and I’d have to get my refund through booking.com (she did not say tell me that). Unbelievable. I’m still in shock. I paid for a night of stay for three rooms I didn’t use. Even so it was worth leaving not to have to deal with these disgusting people and filthy rooms. Worst service I’ve received in my life. Do...

I wanted to experience this hotel since I stayed at the other hotels in the area and all though it seems a little run down on the outside, I decided to give it a try anyways. Foremost, the male at the window was very very rude. I booked the room on Hotels.com and was given the price of the room with the taxes. It was pretty cheap so I decided to pay at the hotel in cash because I was splitting the cost with another adult who was visiting with her daughter from out of town. I get there and the guy was like it would be an extra $20.00 on top of the price quoted online. I pulled out my wallet to give him the money and thought about and asked what the $20.00 was for and he said a deposit. I asked him why he was charging me a deposit when no deposit was stated on the website and he started getting upset stating it was policy. I said OK and pulled out $20 and gave it to him and he stated he would not take it unless it was on the card, which made no sense because A (my card information was already on file being that I had to use it to secure my booking so the deposit would’ve already been applied once I booked the room)When I asked him why the cash was not good, he stated that he did not want to give us the room. I feel like he was trying to take advantage of people traveling from out of town during this pandemic in order to make extra money. What he didn’t know is that I am a local law enforcement officer and I live in the apartments right next door. I wanted to just experience a local hotel during Memorial Day weekend but from this experience, I will never ever go back there. It’s sad that this place would do that to people during this time. Don’t waste...
Read moreIf i could give everything one star, I would. I don’t even know where to start! The first initial smell of the room reeks of cigarettes, despite it being a non-smoking room. The shower head was red with bacteria and God knows what else. We had to bleach down the shower and even after that I still couldn’t shower in it. The fridge is very small and the top of it is very dirty. The microwave can barely warm up food. The remote was disgusting and dirty. When we pulled back the covers on the bed, there was a huge red stain in the middle of the bed possibly blood. We asked for a new sheet and had to change the bed ourselves, even the new sheet was still stained. The towels that were hung up in the room were already dirty. The washer and dryer’s are broken and out of order. The mirror was dirty and dead roaches are just chilling on the floor. The window looked that it had been shot and all they did was tape it up. The water dripping out of the pipe was black, absolutely filthy. The TV looks very cheap and out dated, not clear at all. They have decent streaming channels. If you’re bringing your Roku or Fire Tv Stick , it doesn’t work when you try to hook it up. Overall, the experience at Savannah Inn was horrible. If you are going to stay here, bring bleach. DO NOT STAY HERE. There are many other hotels in the area which I presume are better...
