Traveling from Florida back to NY we stayed at Fairfield down the road. We looked on Maps for a place to eat and Agavesvaves looked fine. On this rainy Sunday night in March the parking lot only had a few other cars in it. Walking in it was mostly empty. The host put in a booth and the server came over to give us menus and asked if we knew what we wanted. My guess is they have lots of regulars here.

We ordered two drinks; one Casamigos on the rocks and I had their Premium Fresh Margarita (hand shaken and made with your choice of premium tequila (I had Casamigos) and flavors (I had plain). We also ordered two Mineragua (sparkling water).

Server Diana was a delight. She was friendly, efficient and helpful. My wife ordered the three tacos (one veggie and two chicken) Diana told her how delicious the veggie tacos are so she changed to two veggies and one chicken taco. She was right. The veggie tacos were outstanding. The best veggie tacos I’ve ever tasted. Diana also suggested the Flan for dessert (which we didn’t plan to have) and again she was right.

I had the vegetarian #3 which is a bean burrito, bean taco and cheese quesadilla. We also got a large order of guacamole.

Every part of our meal was great. We will now put Agave's on our list of places to eat when on 95. We hope Diana will be working the next time...

I would give this a zero if I could. I ordered a cheese quesadilla. I asked if lettuce, tomato and sour cream came with it. She said no. You'll have to order a side salad ($5) to get those items. The side salad had quite alot of water pooled under the salad. When I questioned her, she told me that was the sour cream breaking down naturally. I said, it's hard to believe you don't serve this with lettuce, tomato and sour cream. She informed me that if I hadn't ordered such a cheap item, it would have come with it. I think it was her error not to upsell me to an item that included it. They obviously don't really care about anything here, since they are the only sit down restaurant with a bar, In this off I95 hotel area. Tourists come all day long, why invest anything into the customer service or food offerings? Save your $. Taco bell would have been better. The rusty light fixture lying near the front door should have been the first clue on how much they cared about first...

I'm pretty easy to please but this was the most frustrating dining experience I've had in years. The service was horrible and the food was mediocre at best. It took almost 10 minutes just to get our drink order in and we never got the water we ordered with our margarita. The queso was dropped off at the table after our chips were completely gone and they werent refilled until after our meal came and the queso was cold. We only received two of the three meals we ordered and it took another ten minutes to get the third. The entire time the waiter would drop something off and run away before we got a second to ask for anything or speak to him. This was more than enough to ruin the experience and keep me from coming back but even the food was pretty bland and nothing I would come back for. With MUCH better options for mexican food in the area this was the first and last time I...

Stopped into the Port Wentworth for an early dinner after having been to the Tybee Island location. It’s conveniently located off 21 with plenty of parking and seating. First the staff was extremely friendly and prompt. The fresh salsa and Guacamole are off the hook and the tortilla chips are always hot and fresh and clean tasting. Prices were very reasonable and the portion sizes were above expectations. We had the Chicken Fajitas, Shrimp Chimichanga, Kids Chicken Fingers and fries, side of guacamole, shredded cheese, and pico de gallo which were all very good. And the refried beans we’re probably the best I’ve had in a really long time. They seemed to have a little smoky flavor. The Cheese dip (Queso to some) was so good we ordered an additional serving. We will definitely be returning and encourage you to stop in if you haven’t already.

So to start of you get chips and salsa. I wasn't too fond of the chips but I could not get enough of the salsa. Perfectly spicy and sweet Be careful. The plates are hot and I was not warned I got the four enchiladas. Cheese, chicken, beef and beans. It was covered in a slightly spicy chili sauce along with lettuce, tomatoes and sour cream The cheese in the cheese enchilada was almost melted but it wasn't bad The beef in the beef enchilada was soft and spongy. Odd texture. I did not care for it. I'm suspecting some textured vegetable protein was the culprit. The bean enchilada was refried beans. Nothing special about it really The chicken and the chicken enchilada was cooked in spicy and flavorful tomato sauce. It was the best of the four. Overall my meal was good. It was a lot of food for $11. Skip the beef but the chicken is good
