Portland Value Inn — Hotel in Portland

DO NOT STAY HERE. When we arrived there was a $100 CASH deposit that was not listed that I was informed of on the spot. While attempting to shower after sightseeing all day we came back to the room and the shower did not drain to which the water pooled at the bottom and started spilling out. We then had to switch rooms into another room in which the shower BARELY worked and the water pressure was low. After we were moved to the second room while trying to sleep there was screaming and banging in the room next to us with a woman yelling “stop” at the top of her lungs in which I informed the front desk guy. After being moved to another room and being woken up by people fighting and yelling both inside and outside in front of our room we decided to drive home at 2 am and the front desk did not offer any refund when asked about it. I stayed there about three years ago, when we had the winter storm. I believe this was in January of 2021. Back then, all along 82nd at least, around where I was staying, even atm's weren't working, even after power was restored. My room had a large crack under the door that let several inches of snow into my room. Additionally, the roof had a leak, and I had to put towels on the ground to soak up the liquid. As they were full, and conditions on the road were horrific, I could understand them not being able to get somebody to fix the problem. Quite dirty for my expectations and it's kinda stinky in the room, especially my fridge I had. It smelled like something died in there... And just, everything's old, and looks like it hasn't been updated since 1999. Still has the big fat box antenna t.v.'s, the walls and floor you can tell are very old and dirty, and the whole room just looks like, if anything ever chipped or broke they just quickly repair it with whatever is on hand, so you see buncha random patches all over. I don't know. Honestly.... I probably wouldn't pay $75.00 a night 🌙. I mean if you 100% just dont care whatsoever and just want one nights rest than this could work out for ya. I myself didn't end up sleeping the night there so I couldn't tell you the quality...
