Read moreWe are currently staying at this hotel and I already want to leave a review because of the incredible service. We checked in last night and we got to our room and the bathroom lights didn't work. So, not a big deal whatsoever. Maybe others would have an issue but for us not a big deal. We went to the front desk as we were heading down to dinner at the restaurant inside and informed the person working the front desk. I wish I remembered his name. He said he'd head to the room to see what was going on and that we should stop back after dinner. As we were at dinner Christina the hotel manager found us. She informed us that due to the issue in the room being an electric problem, they would move us to a new room. Also, because of the inconvenience she said she'd upgrade us to the Grand Suite for no extra cost.
Something that wasn't a big deal, and she goes out of her way to upgrade us to a room that is absolutely miraculous. It's bigger than your normal apartment. We would have been fine just moving to another similar room to what we had. This type of thing is the reason this place has 5 stars. It is absolutely incredible service and they care. This is how you run a business and take care of your guests. Also, the restaurant. It isn't necessarily our kind of food per say because it's on the fancier more sophisticate end, but we tried it and it is absolutely fantastic. I had the steak and my wife had a Salad which are probably the more normal things on the menu I'd say. Everything was great and the fries were absolutely unreal. My Manhattan was very good and my wifes drink was also very good.
I wish I remembered our waiters name but he was incredible too. We didn't make a reservation but the hostess said she'd put us at the bar and find a spot for us. As we were sitting at the bar the waiter came over and asked if we wanted a private table outside with a heater. We said yes and it was awesome. Our waiter was so nice. Just an absolute pleasure. I really wish I could remember all of the staffs name because they need to be recognized. So damn impressed by everything. No doubt it's a place we'd come back to. Definitely...
Read moreAs someone who values kindness and community, I was genuinely hurt by what I experienced at The Inn today â enough to write this.
This morning, two mom friends and I â each with our babies â stopped by The Market for coffee. With no open seating in the cafĂŠ, we stepped into the adjoining lobby to sit for a few quiet moments. This space had always felt like a safe, welcoming spot for us â a joyful place to meet outside our homes, grab a quick coffee, and connect in the midst of new motherhood.
It had been a meeting ground for us on many winter days during the newborn stage â when getting out of the house, even just for a bit, was essential for our mental well-being. It was a place that always brought comfort and warmth.
But today, that sense of comfort was shattered. A manager, Christina Nicholson, approached us and said, without any warmth or basic courtesy: âThis is extremely inappropriate. This isnât your living room.â Her tone was harsh, dismissive, and completely uncalled for. One of us was visibly shaken, and all of us left feeling humiliated and discouraged.
Had we been kindly asked to move, we wouldâve understood â no explanation needed. But instead of approaching the situation with grace or empathy, Christina chose to speak to us in a way that made us feel small and unwelcome in a place that presents itself as community-oriented.
When we expressed how her words had impacted us, the response was a flat, insincere: âHope I didnât ruin your day.â But by then, the damage was done. Watching us pack up our babies and walk out into one of the most humid days of the year â without a hint of apology or compassion â was incredibly disheartening.
If youâre a mama with a babe, looking to grab a quick coffee or snack between nap routines â which, if youâve been there, you know is rarely more than a 45-minute window â this is not the place. The lack of kindness we experienced today made that abundantly clear.
We were simply three tired moms trying to find a moment of calm. Christina, you had the opportunity to lead with kindness. You chose not to. And for that, I truly hope The Inn reflects on the kind of culture and leadership it wants to...
