We went to the Big Biscuit for the first time today and it was incredible! First, we arrived around 1:00 (they close at 2:30), so we were after the lunch rush, so the atmosphere was very nice. When we entered, we were greeted by friendly staff. We were seated at a booth seat near the windows, which offered a "wide open feeling" that made me feel almost as if we were in open air seating. Next, the menus offer a lot to choose from. Big Biscuit seems to be like IHOP, Waffle House, or Huddle House, except much higher quality food and limited hours. My previous favorite in this genre of food was Huddle House, but now, given the choice, I would take the Big Biscuit every time. We ordered the Strawberry Shortcake Bonut (yes, "bonut" is not a typo) off their Shareables Menu. Be aware that this is so good you're not going to want to share! For my meal I ordered the "Kitchen Sink", which is eggs, ham, bacon, sausage, hash browns, and a biscuit all topped with gravy. And my wife ordered the Maple Bacon Chicken and Waffle, which is a bacon waffle topped with hand breaded fried chicken and bacon and drizzled with warm syrup. Her meal came with grits, which she loves and I don't usually like, but these were really good, and I would have enjoyed them myself. As a grits lover, she said they were some of the best grits she had tasted! My wife loved their coffee and appreciated that they leave a personal size coffee pot at your table so you can refill your mug. Lastly, our service was friendly, although our waitress appeared to be new. I'm sure she will learn as she grows as a waitress. But the staff works together as a team, so we were taken care of! Overall, I think we just found a new favorite restaurant! If you like this genre of food, you might just find your favorite in this restaurant!

It's a plate full of heaven! The Big Biscuit is all that and more. I ordered the Titanic which was recommended by our server (Matthew C. - who was awesome and an example of what an exemplary employee should be - genuinely friendly, attentive, knowledgeable, and professional at the same time), and my omelet arrived like the maiden steamship loaded with all the described goodies written on the menu before hitting my hangry stomach. It was just as delicious as I imagined, A+ in taste all around. The atmosphere was relaxed and family friendly but the best part was the vintage photos I saw of Prairie Village, priceless. Service? OMG, if employees like Matt, the manager (who casually stopped by to see how our meal was), and the other staff were in other establishments, the food service industry would be blessed with what true customer service would look like. Thank you from a traveler just stopping by for some good food, service, and experience I can share with other like minds.

I give this location two stars for being nice and kind. And that is all. All the food came out late, and all of the courses were served right on top of one another. Wasn’t informed about missing menu items until the food was coming out. Wasn’t given the choice of swapping out missing items for anything that we wanted, just more “potatoes”, which we already had 3 orders of on the table, due to the server bringing us the wrong kind of potatoes we ordered. We asked for breakfast potatoes, and they brought us hashbrowns. Food was incredibly bland no seasoning whatsoever. 15 minutes later, at the end of our meal when we were done, a manager finally came over and offered us the original item we wanted to swap out with, for an up charge. Ended up taking our appetizer off the bill for all of the inconvenience. Which is cool. So overall service was incredibly slow, incorrect orders, and the food was old and cold and bland. Everything felt like amateur hour here. No thank you.

Part 2 - 4/22/2024 I responded to the message from what showed as the Owner. I dont understand why I was asked for contact information. I sent the information to the email address provided and no response. Really....

Part 1 I ordered the Bacon Boss like I have many times before. First my order was taken wrong. We had to wait over 30 minutes to be served. I never had that happen before. The reason I was there today eating in was to take the managers offer to replace our order that was wrong the day before. He also replaced one meal with a gift card even though both our orders had something wrong. He said the regular cook called in so the dishwasher was doing the cooking The manger on duty today told me they don't do that and that she would give a discount on one meal and that we had to use the gift card because that is what is was for. When we received our orders my husband told the server he wanted a to go container. He wasn't feeling well after waiting so long. He is diabetic. The server brought one container I guess she thought I was going eat in even though he did not feel well. While putting my burger and fries in the container I notices the cheese was burnt. How do you get a layer of burnt cheese on the bottom underside. The bacon bits were burned as well. I tasted a crumb and burnt taste lingered in my mouth. She insisted nothing was wrong and that's how the cheese does. Well it should not have been under the bottom of the burger. She insisted that that's how the bacon bits are. As I said earlier I always get the Bacon Boss and it looked nothing like that but thing. She presented a bill for the exact amount of the gift card. I asked her to remake it my burger. She took the container to the back but returned with it saying she would not have it remade. She told me I would not be satisfied with whatever the did. I never once got mad or raised my voice. Now I have no idea what was done to the burger once she left the room with it. That's when another customer intervened saying the food was burnt and you could clearly see it. She told her was courteous but she told the manger she nit vice or professional. She told her was regular there and would be speaking with the makers boss the next day about her attitude and me being forced to take what I had. She would comp the ticket. I never had a complaint about any food I have ordered to go or treat in. The coffee was horrible. She had the easiest look on her face. The server was nice. She apologized for the error with order. The manager also said that we were upset with ser er. That was far from the truth. I called corporate and gave my complaint and also left a voice message the Manger at the store Boss. Right now I would not eat this burger if I was paid. I belive she may have tampered with it just because of way she came back from the kitchen with and refused remake. That being said I wonder if the dishwasher was cooking today aswell..... The manger John i believe that was his name was really nice and was trying to satisfy myself and my husband for burnt food the day before the food container with grease roll around on all the food. Hash browns were so over cooked and hard he...

In all of my experience going to food establishments, I have never experienced service quite like my visit here.

I decided to bring my wife here for her first time to enjoy some good food. I've been to other locations and this one happened to be close to my next destination. Upon being sat down and handed our menus we waited for someone to come by to get our drink orders. It took a little while but I didn't think anything of it (note the restaurant wasn't busy when we arrived)

The waiter we were "served" by failed to introduce his name and he didn't even wait until he got to our table to start talking to us. Instead he started speaking to us, this is without us knowing, from afar. It's not until he reached our table did I realize this gentleman was actually talking to us. He didn't seem to want to be there today.

He didn't fill our waters. He came by once to drop off the check and ask how the food was. He never revisited to even pick up our check and give us a box to pack my wife's leftovers. I had to get up and ask another server if I should pay at our table or at the counter. Now the food was good, that's why I'm giving two stars and not one. Know though that my overall experience of this location has been extremely upsetting due to the server that remains nameless (he never told us his name).

I understand that people have bad days, but in the customer service field, if you're not gonna do your job to the fullest, just stay home and give somebody else that is willing to work a chance to earn the money...
