Hotel Baton Rouge I-10 Trident — Hotel in Prairieville

The places was HORRIBLE. After a scheduling mistake and we were updated to a so-called “premium” suite. Before we went up my husband tried a cup of the complimentary lemonade in the lobby. He went outside and poured it out in the bushes after one sip. We’re pretty sure that lemonade was probably made days ago and they just kept adding ice to it without adding any more lemons or sugar. When we finally got up to our room, there was nothing premium about it. The first thing we noticed was the half done furniture. The counters, desks, and nightstands were all unfinished with splintered and worn out wood sticking out in some areas. The A/C unit was filthy, but at least it worked well. The pillow had a black stain and the towels were stained in various colors. There was someone else’s hair all by the sink and it was just nasty. If someone came to knock at our door we couldn’t look to see because there was something in our peep hole. We had no fridge. HOW IS THERE NO FRIDGE IN A PREMIUM HOTAL SUITE? We had a ironing board but guess what, NO IRON! What a surprise! When we informed the lady at the desk, her response was just ‘Oh, ok.’ No apologies or anything. We came in at 3 am after a very long day of travel to just find out after having a confirmation, that they over booked. We were not able to get a room, even though it was booked 3 days in advance.
