World Market — Local services in Baton Rouge

I went to world Market to pick up my double papas a chair cushion I was so excited because I repaired a papasan chair that my grandma had before she passed. I went in to get my cushion but noticed it was 20% off online so I went ahead and bought it. I went up to the desk and told the lady, that was my cushion and I had gotten it online she said that it hadn’t gone through so she’d get the manager to punch it through (she was so sweet) so the manager comes up and said “we can’t do it” then proceeds to talk to me as if I’m a child that’s too incompetent to understand (I’m 22 and very capable) she said “you can wait it out or not” I showed her the receipt and said the cashier had said it could be pushed and I could get it and she continued to talk down on me so I told her I’d cancel it and they could keep it. Seriously disgusting customer service. How are you going to talk to someone like you are better than them when you have no clue what they have going on. Literally shop anywhere else....

I wanted Lemoncello chocolate almonds. So before ordering from Amazon, I hoped that I could find some in store. Online, World Market showed they had them in stock and I could pick up same day. So, I ordered them and 2 days later, still hadn't received the email I was told I would receive letting me know when my order was ready. I went to the store, and one of the associates was so kind in helping me look for them, but we couldn't find any, so he told me I would have to order online and have them shipped to the store. I chose not to do that again, so I ended up calling the customer service number and cancelling my order that was...

Writing this specifically because of our experience today.

We had ordered some chair cushions online and had not heard the order was ready to pickup. When I called to ask since we were on that side of town, the lady who answered went out of her way to find the order, get the cushions together, and get the order ready in the computer so we could come pick them up.

Every time We have needed assistance there, it has been like this which is not the norm in most places.

Otherwise we love the store, enjoy their unique merchandise and feel the prices are fair.
