Ok let’s start here I been coming here off and on since feb this last time I stayed it was from July10 to aug 7 I asked several time for room service and I was always told they was too busy to clean my room so I didn’t mind bc they were a older sweet couple. So I went and bought my own cleaning supplies and broom to clean my with..; the room was dirty when I checked in and it still had sunflower seed in night stand and shower walls was filthy with black dirt… I didn’t complain I just cleaned it myself…. This was the only room I stayed in without roaches hints why I was in the same room Almost a month …. I could not wash laundry myself here bc they either didn’t have quarters or the card reader did not work. So I couldn’t wash my sheet and I got annoyed with the towels they don’t want to give u so I went to target and got my own!!! In the room next me was a couple who kept waking me and my two year old fight at 3 an I made several complaints to the front desk I had surgery two weeks ago so u was moving slow to get all my stuff out the room at check out being that my son is autistic and he was fussy while packing..: I go to check out they show me a bed sheet I never slept in was dirty and the pillow case had make up on in…. That was my fault but they charged 50 bucks for the pillow and the sheet that was not stained by me… I never been charged for the cases before and but I never stayed this long before… mind the u the pillow had burn hole and its supposed to be a smoke free hotel. I told the front desk ppl I been here almost 1 month no one ever came clean my room and I asked several times for it to be clean.. he said it’s out of his hands…. Ok fine I’m here to let other people know how it is here. Especially if u need to stay an extended time… lots of drug traffic could smell drugs being smoked in the room next to me.. the lot of the rooms a filthy and nasty but wanna charge 50 bucks for some foundation the easily washed of…. They don’t use epa disinfect they use pinesol I know bc I use they stuff to clean my room when the cleaners was too busy to clean my room and c the towels and sheets always have some stain in them in every room I stayed in avoid the second floor at all cost. Smells of mold and had roaches terribly bad all the sofas have stains on them… I stayed in they room one week one the second floor and left bc they keep going up on the prices and I could not get them to fix the leaking ac unit… I slipped and fell bad on the water and I’m pregnant at that… I’m very upset about my deposit and being told I can’t get room service bc they are too busy I just tried to make the best of the situation bc the room. Is affordable and close to my family… I have spent a lot of money at this location to have my deposit took .. but I will go to the bbb next … will never stay at this location ever agin he said that gm told him to...

Our stay was terrible. One lady who I don't have the name of, was super rude. I'm wondering if she was racist towards white people because she was friendly with everyone else. I wasn't rude and asked one simple request and was talked over and disrespected. Our room smelled terrible and the floor in our second room was gross! My daughter who crawls, found empty grape Vines from like the bags of grapes you would buy at Walmart. I will say that our AC worked great. But when we turned out water on to fix a bath for my kiddo and I turned off the water, the pipes started rattling and it was LOUD and took about 45 minutes before anyone fixed it. We eventually did get settled into a new room but not without argument. I don't think it was too much to ask to get a new room because me and my boyfriend still needed showers and so did my daughter since she freaked out over the lawn mower like noise from the pipes. I will say this is close to many restaurants which is good! And most of the staff was nice. They said they have free breakfast but when my boyfriend went to go check it out, there was NO breakfast?? So the pictures are misleading and so is the advertisement of a free breakfast. The pool is nice. But overall I wasn't pleased with dirty floors and bedsheets. I only hope that with new management that this will all change. It has potential but it hasn't reached it's potential. I'm not sure if you need new people or what. But invest in new bedsheets if needed. Anything with a burn hole should be thrown out and replaced. Anything with a stain should be bleached out and if you can't get it out, throw it out. Floors with big stains on the floor should probably be rug doctored at the very least. Housekeeping should be doing their job and if they are finding it hard to do exactly what they are hired for then why do you keep them? I too work a job that I find hard to keep a positive attitude with at times but I still do my job to keep a clean environment. Had my room just been really Clean I would have looked past most...

This hotel sucks please be aware of that before booking.

I was scheduled for 2 nights at the trident inn. I was driving into Baton Rouge from Austin and I was going to be arriving earlier than expected. I called around 6am to ask if it would be possible for me to check in earlier than 3pm (the scheduled check in time). I was told that I could show up at 9am and that there would be no early check in fee. I showed up at 9am and was told that I had to wait until 11am and that there would be an extra charge for the early check in.

When I drove into the parking lot of the hotel I noticed how different the building looked from online. The trident was more beaten up and the paint was weathered. But no big deal. I walked into the main lobby and found the front desk surrounded in protective glass. The carpets were stained and disgusting and the entire building reeked of chemicals.

The elevator was nauseating because of how strong the chemical smell was. It smelled like a mix of perfume and cigarette smoke and irritated my throat.

When we finally went up into our room we realized how horrible of a hotel we actually were staying in. The quality of the room was a completely different quality and look that what was presented online in their photos. The cabinets were uneven. The carpet was filthy. The bed sheets stained. The walls yellowing. The curtains had red stains. The restroom looked horrendous. The toilet, bath, and sink had moldy spots and stains. The paint and coating in the restroom was peeling and it looked like there was mold growing in the corners.

The worst part of this entire experience was the fact that I could not get a refund. We ended up booking the same 2 nights in the Super 8 next door which was much cleaner in appearance and didn’t have that awful chemical smell. Not only was the Super 8 cleaner but it was also CHEAPER. Please do not book your night at the trident inn or at least be aware of this hotels lack of...

If I could rate this establishment a zero, I still wouldn't, as even that would acknowledge their existence, which they do not deserve. This is the most disgusting and disrespectful hotel or business I have encountered in a long time. This morning, I woke up to find cockroaches crawling on me. While I could have reacted loudly and disrespectfully, I chose to approach the situation in a calm and composed manner. The older woman with short hair, whose name I do not know as she claimed it had changed multiple times, seemed to find the situation amusing. When I asked her what was funny, she responded by saying she could laugh at whatever she wanted. I was taken aback by her unprofessional demeanor, and her employer, who was present, seemed equally perplexed. This is not an example of hospitality. As someone who is studying hospitality and hotel general management, I can confidently say that these individuals do not possess the necessary skills or training to provide adequate service. It's clear why certifications are essential for certain job titles. The woman's behavior was unacceptable, and her failure to take down my name or room number after I reported the issue was inexcusable. When I asked her why she had not done so, she claimed it was because I was not checking out, and that people typically report complaints when they check out. I fail to see the logic in this explanation. If I were you, I would consider taking my business elsewhere and paying a premium to avoid staying at this establishment again.
