Don’t waste your time here. There’s plenty of other activities on the island.
The only reason for 2 stars is because the crystal cave was cool and it is really nice that you don’t have to go outside to get in the cave.
The actual wine is disgusting. It’s like they mixed rubbing alcohol with cheap grape juice. It’s horrendous - I don’t have any nice words to say about their products. I was so happy to see a cab franc, I even joked with my husband that we should take a case home. My husband had the dry red blend and it was just as bad. We both received our samples, each took a drink and set them down and left.
If I were the owners, I’d expense a trip out to Napa and tour Orin Swift or Caymus. I think they could learn A LOT from them. If they were wanting to stay closer to home, they could always travel over to Niagara on the lake and visit Peller, Reif, and Gretzky wineries.

Read moreWe we're there Saturday November 4th. We were told by several locals and the information booth when we got off the ferry that Saturday was the last day they were opened. I solely came to the island to purchase wine and to see this winery. I was very disappointed. The staff opened the door and said they were only opened for a private party. When we again said we just wanted to purchase wine she stared at us for awhile before saying she had to ask someone. Then came back and said she could wait on us. Did not suggest sell, and came off very irritated we we're there. I chose not to spend any money. I will not return. I documented my trip on Facebook live and never mentioned this winery as I don't feel it was worth mentioning. I was treated better by the cashier at Krogers on 63 who gladly talked to us and suggested a Pinot grigio on sale.. we bought several bottles to enjoy from...

You feel rushed every step of the way. The cave is very small, but so cool. However, I had to google the story about the cave - which in fact is really interesting - because the guide (a young and very unenthusiastic guy) shared the briefest details and let us walk around by.
The staff was very loud talking to each other at all times, sharing their personal stories and details.
The wine tour guy spoke with the speed of light taking you from one room to the other, literally merging words together while explaining and he got us out of there in literally 5 minutes.
I came intrigued, I was really hoping to hear the stories and to learn something new, not just to be charged $14 and get a 10-min robotic tour to make time for the next tour of people.
Wine was not bad, it's why I'm giving 2 stars, try...
