My husband and I stayed at the Super 8 in Redmond for one night, and in full transparency, I immediately requested a refund so we could leave and go to a different hotel. But when it was clear we would not be getting a refund, we stayed the night and I regret it. The front desk woman that checked us in, was truly wonderful. She was helpful and kind, nothing about her demeanor determined this review, she was truly great! What made our stay SO UNPLEASANT was how uncleanly the room was. The duvet had stains on it and very clearly had not been washed. There were stains on the wall and a portion where the drywall was damaged. There was a bag, yes a bag, hanging from the ceiling where an overhead light should have been to trap any water leakage from the light socket/ceiling. We requested a rollaway bed for the room and upon opening the bed, there was a red residue that appeared to have the consistency of raw meat on the sheets. I went to the front desk where the clerk happily assisted me in getting clean sheets but did say: โ€œthey must not have changed the sheets from the last use.โ€ Again the clerk was wonderful and helpful, but this was very hard to hear as you want be staying in a clean environment. The pillows on the bed were literally couch throw pillows wrapped up in normal sized pillow cases; they were so uncomfortable I ended up just using my sweatshirt as a pillow. I would have never made the booking had I known the facilities would be so dirty. The photos online portrayed a clean room with nice accommodations, but this is truly not the experience we had, and I feel they are misleading. I really hope the property manager reads this review because there are definite improvements needing to be made.

Room 219 was unexpected: The carpet was horrible: stains everywhere, a tore-up patch about the size or two frying pans, and several burn holes throughout. My attention went next to the counters that were repaired with clear packing tape. The fabric on both chairs appeared to be dirty, and there were many stains. The queen size mattress was very uncomfortable & felt like it was too old and had lost any support. Thankfully, the front desk clerk was able to get me switched to room 209. Both chairs equaly dirty and stained like the room 219. I was greatful that this room was in better shape than room 209. This mattress was more comfortable. There were still packing tape repairs on the furniture, but I was able to fall asleep. I was a bit disappointed that I had to shower in standing water (because the drain was slow), but at least there were clean towels & hot water. My 85-yr old parents asked for a 6am wake-up call, but instead were woke-up by the front desk at 3am. They were not able to go back to sleep after the interuption... A shameful thing to do to the elderly. My two-nights stay was $268 for their cheapest room. This was my first time in Redmond, Oregon. I will seek accommodations somewhere else next time I visit your amazing small city.

The checkin was fast and the person who was there was very friendly. The room with double beds was nice and big enough. Beds were ok. The air conditionning was basic but it was working. There was a refrigarator and microwave in the room. The towels is the room were soft and clean it was nice. We were on the highway side but it was not too noisy for once. The pool was very nice for this level of hotel. It was clean and bigger than other motels. In addition the spa was clean and hot and it was working. In addition there was a lot of clean towels. Only point: the complimentaty breakfast was under usual Super 8 level. We have known better level than this. But we had a great stay there.

If I could I wouldn't even rate this Hotel as a one! I have never received such poor service nor stayed at such a disgusting hotel ever. It started when we tried to call ahead and let them know we were going to be arriving in the later part of the evening. After calling three times and getting no answer even after going through headquarters we gave up on calling them. We arrived at the hotel and there were people hanging out front smoking and loitering. Went in to sign in and was second in line waiting. No one at the desk. Flyer on desk said to use the lobby phone to call to get help. Lady in front of me was standing in line and turn to tell me that she had tried to call but just got a busy signal. After standing there for 10 minutes. One of the people that was hanging around outside on a yellow phone smoking and talking on the phone came in went behind the desk and started to help the first lady in line. She was asking for another room because they gave her a room without a window that couldn't be locked on the first floor. So now onto me...we were there to photograph an event and the event was paying for our hotel room. So it was paid for. The girl ask me for my id and credit card to verify my identity and to charge for incidentals. I told her that I didn't have to pay it was already paid for and that they had the Events Credit Card on file. She said she still needed to see my card and told me that she wasn't going to charge the room or tax to it. The Event Coordinator requested and booked a double queen room non smoking. We got to our room and it smelled like smoke, mold and was extremely muggy. Within 5 minutes our young daughter, son and myself started having asthmatic symptoms. My daughter started not being able to breath well and I started breaking out in a rash and getting a sore throat. We started calling trying to find another hotel no such luck everything booked up. Had kids leave the hotel with my husband and I went to check out and found out they had charged almost $600.00 to my credit card on top of having the Event's Credit Card as well. I asked them to reverse the charge and they told me they couldn't do anything for 5 to 7 business days. After going around with them they cancelled the charge gave me a cancellation number and then told me it would take 24 hours to get our money back. They told me I would have to call my bank to make it faster so I called our bank to which they told me they had to hear it from the hotel so I called Corporate who referred me to the Hotel and the Manager told a girl by the name of Kayla to tell me she was to busy to call my bank and let them know they had cancelled the charge. So I called Corporate back and they told me they couldn't do anything because the hotel is owner franchise. I asked them why then when I called I always got the Corporate office who transferred me to the hotel. I asked what is it that you do for this hotel and they could not/would not answer the question. Even after explaining all this to them all they could say was "we are sorry your experience was bad thank you for calling but we can't do anything for you"....This hotel is fraudulent in it's practices and procedures and due to the condition of it's rooms needs to be shut down by the...

I just have to get on here again and brag for a bit!!! Our stay here at Super 8 truly has been pretty amazing for many, many reasons but most importantly because of the staff, they're all just great but I got some shout outs!!!

Brandie- First off she does everything with a smile!!! Her greetings are always genuine and playful!!! She's helpful to her team in all the ways, even in her time off. She's all around just someone you would want on your team!!! Such a loving, caring, genuine person!!! Extremely valuable to the team.

Jae- She's hilariously personable!!! Always helpful and full of life!! Always ready to learn and help her team. Very valuable member of the team.

Amanda- Such a sweet housekeeper, super quick and thorough at the same time, Always there to help when needed. Such a valuable member of the team!!!

Ines- Such a sweet, sweet lady!!! Always smiling and welcoming when walking thru front doors!!! Always one of the first to help fix a mistake or help someone out. Another very valuable member of the team!!!

Kayla- I'm not even sure where to begin with her, but she's just the sweetest most gentle kind loving soul!!! Super helpful to her team and always there when needed!!!

JoAnn- Such a fun loving spirit!! Always super sweet when welcoming people into the hotel, very helpful to team and customers!!!

Duayne- Such an awesome and caring maintenance guy!!! He cares about the people and the appearance of the hotel. Always super helpful and full of funny stories to tell!!! Also helped me with my car while I was staying here.

Dylyn- Such a quick, thorough, fun maintenance fella!!! Super helpful even if it wasn't directly for the hotel(helped me with my car a couple times).

Cara and Stephanie- Such sweet girls, Always smiling and welcoming!!! Very helpful as well!!!

Jen- Such a great manager, cares about her team and not just in a work setting, cares about what kind of people she has working for her hotel. She listened to me tell my story and then gave me some ideas instead of shunning me she heard what I had to say and then cared about it....you don't find that everywhere!!!

Everyone here at Super 8 has been amazing, personable, funny, genuine, and they all show up to work with smiles on their faces and pretend like this world ain't hard. Pardon my language but they are all bad mamajamas and they deserve nothing but the best!!!! They are all extremely valuable to their team!!! As my daughter and I's time is coming to an end I want to thank each and everyone of you for welcoming us into your hotel and treating us...
