I I nitially hired Chris to remodel a studio (on the property) and then remodel the house. Although he denies personal responsibility, the building permit was not submitted to the county initially and I found out about this after doing my own research (3 months after it was supposedly submitted). During the entire project, he was very poorly responsive and difficult to get ahold of. He claimed, more than once, that he did not receive texts or emails from me, despite digital evidence to the contrary. I handed over a completely demo’ed garage and it took Chris over a year and a half to finish a job he said would take 6 months. Substantially over budget. During this time he hired/fired two different superintendents and two different designers, which certainly didn’t help the communication issues. When I confronted him on the significant delay, he said he thought the project was completed—he didn’t even know where his own project stood!! I had originally planned to have Chris remodel my house but fired him after my experience with the studio. I finally had to drive to his office in Redmond and get in his face to get him to finish the project. He was extremely unprofessional during that meeting and threatened “not to f*ing finish the job”. I consistently got the impression that my project was not a priority for him. His tile guy and finish carpenter did excellent work, otherwise I would’ve given Sunrise Construction...

My wife and I had a custom home built by Sunrise Construction. We viewed a number of custom homes built by Chris Christianson and his team. All were beautifully constructed and unique. We purchased a home that had begun construction and wanted to make a number of significant changes. Chris and his team were so easy to work with. Very responsive and helpful with difficult decisions. We received a great deal of excellent advice from his interior design consultant, Dani. She was great and even flew out of state to our home to meet with us and help pick out tile and other finishes. After construction was completed we had additional problems not related to the construction and, again, Chris was willing to help us. He is dedicated to a successful relationship. Our home was completed a few years ago and we are exceptionally happy with Sunrise Construction. We highly recommend them for your custom project. Chris very generously offered to buy my daughter's underweight hog during the 4H auction. For those not familiar with the 4H program pigs not within a certain weight limit may not auction their pig and must work incredibly hard to find a private buyer. Purchases made through the auction are tax deductible, private buys (to my knowledge) are not. He offered her a generous price and then later, I assume based on how high auction prices were, bumped it even higher. My daughter (almost 15) is the oldest of 5 children, I depend on her daily, and her baby brothers idolize her. Her heart was broken when she learned her pig was a few pounds shy. She needed that money for college. Chris's generosity was an answer to our prayers.
