Overall rating: 4/5 , it is not a "must stay" place nor a great value, but it is a clean, quiet place to stay. It was mostly good, I got a room with a whirlpool, I don't think it is quite worth a whole upgrade cost, but if they offer it for free/discounted. You definitely would not want that room if you were with kids/family, but I would say it is perfect for a couple, or if you want to relax solo (they have multiple room types in this hotel). The housekeeping policy is a bit neglectful and outdated, since it is not covid era anymore (they have a every other day sort of thing and didn't come at all during my 4 day stay, though i asked for towels passing them by in the hall and she handed them to me). I was really disappointed about the breakfast, while paying for some made-to-order items (e.g. omelet) made sense, paying *more* for pastries and cereal (it was quite literally fruit loops or some type of fruity cereal, croissants, oatmeal, melon fruits) did not. Why not make that part free and charge for the cooked-to-order ones? So I just did not bother, silly policy since there are a lot of restaurants adjacent to this hotel (mcdonalds, port of subs, starbucks, all walkable). The cleanliness is mostly good and tended to, even though the hotel is starting to look just a little bit dated, this might have been the carpets, the elevator did not have a permit they wanted to put within it which was weird for reno. The linens/textiles were clean, i would rate those 3/5 for overall comfort/material quality, etc. The toiletries were mediocre, but the whirlpool itself was very relaxing, might have been better if whirlpool rooms had upgraded toiletries or even ones you pay a la carte. The coffee/fridge/appliances of the room all worked as expected. TV was a good size, I liked that it swiveled, cable selection was kind of basic stuff. The neighborhood seems pretty solid to me, normal shopping center type stuff nearby, though you might have to travel a bit further if you want casinos like peppermill, GSR, etc, though nothing is all that far away in this town. One thing I enjoyed, being a reno native, was that this was a completely gaming-free hotel, I kind of wanted that option, since if you do want gaming there are casinos and pubs everywhere. If you are looking for a hotel with slots in the lobby, this would not be a good option for you. The hotel has a fitness center, business center, pool (which was out of order during my stay), restaurant (open till 10PM) and a mini "shop" for grab and go snacks/drinks. The overall hotel was pretty quiet, relaxed atmosphere, no annoyances or nuisances.

The girl who was supposed to be at the front desk left 4 people standing there for 14 minutes before she came back. I didn't have a reservation so she quoted me $165 on a Wednesday night and then offered me a $7 discount being a Hilton Rewards member and was extremely rude about it since the person in front of me had an issue and finally told her he'd take it up with corporate and she replied" that's great sir". My real issue other than poor customer skills is a filthy room and hallway. There's a urine stain in the hallway and blood on my pillow....this place is in total disrepair and poorly managed. I will be following up with Hilton Corporate to express my disappointment.

I stayed here for around 2 weeks! I was supposed to have room service every other day however I didn’t get it for 4 days until I had to specifically ask for it. The hotel is clean, has good workout area and there is a nice walking/running path around pond at the backside of the building. The view is great. There is no complementary breakfast and paid breakfast in the hotel didn’t feel like it was worth it.

Fair Warning, don't stay here it's not safe and the staff and management just don't get it's about pleasing the customers and watching out for the property.||||Here is my story and my review;||I recently stayed at a Hilton Garden Inn in Reno NV on Double R Blvd. As a long-time Hilton Honors member. I specifically chose Hilton for what I viewed as the consistent quality of their properties and recognition of Honor Members. Unfortunately like many things in the last few years, this is changed. I am sure if you travel regularly, you look for a clean functional room that has a comfortable bed and possibly a spot to do some work.||The hotel room was for the most part comfortable and met most expectations except the outlet at the desk did not work. What I did notice was that the room was not serviced or cleaned once over the five days that I stayed at the Hotel. I believe this started during the pandemic shutdown and they just continued the practice.||||On the morning of the last day, I left the room at 8:30 after doing a bit of work. As I walked to my vehicle, I felt sick to see my vehicle had been broken into. The side window smashed and the tailgate down. On further investigation, they had stolen the valuable content I had in the locked bed that had a locking bed cover.||||As a Safety professional, part of my job is risk and security management. When I left the truck, I emptied the interior of visible items. I had an aluminum locking bed cover and as mentioned the gate was locked. I parked as close as possible the the front entrance.||||This Hilton Garden Inn did not have security cameras or roving security guards. When I notified the front desk and manager the response was extremely disappointing. "Oh, you too?" Me, "What does that mean?" Well, other trucks were broken into." If there is anything we can do?" Me, "Yes I want to see the camera footage!"||Manager, "Well, we don't have security cameras, but we are thinking about getting them." Then they proceeded to give me a copy of the bill which included charging me for parking.||||Further; How could the night staff not hear the car alarms going off? Were they sleeping on the job? Once the first guest notified Hotel Management that their vehicle was broken into they should have investigated to see if any other cars were affected. They also failed to call me to let me know my truck was one of those vehicles broken into. What is the purpose of putting a form on the dashboard with your name and room number if they never check them?||||I will never stay there again! OMG!! Where do I start! Let’s start with John Cury the “Front Desk Manager” with 0 STARS. The fact I’m even writing this review when I never write reviews mean the customer service was BOTTOM OF THE BARREL. I lost my makeup bag at the hotel, I have an AirTag inside my makeup bag for my keys…. I checked out July 8 2023. Today is July 18th yes it took me 10 days to realize I didn’t have my makeup bag because I haven’t wore makeup in 10 days! Anywho I checked my AirTag and it shows it’s there so I proceed to call and work out a way to get my items back! They tell me “it isn’t there”. Mind you there’s an AirTag inside the bag with the current location also they never even asked what it looked like or anything. Just proceeded to tell me it wasn’t there. This is where John comes into the story. I called customer service because I was tired of the back and forth and John “tried” to get on the phone and rectify the situation. Apparently John doesn’t like when you “talkback” you have to let him talk and you can’t talk…. If you do he will say you are “talking over him” LOL. Then I let him talk because wth clearly he has important things to say only for me to be allowed the floor to speak FINALLY and he says my voice is “escalated” and then HANGS UP. Customer service was on the phone btw and they couldn’t believe how the situation was handled. They offered to make the situation better of course after what had just transpired. Customer service called back to get his name and they he tells the lady he wanted to speak with me to “apology” absolutely NOT. I’m a Diamond member and spend entirely to much money at this hotel for them to just hang up and disrespect me without a cause or reason. So now all I can assume is this hotel have THIEVES working for them. Who even takes WORN makeup for themselves anyway that’s disgusting. I will never stay at this property again…. I’ll stay at the other one next time I’m in town

UPDATE!!! So after a week of this review they “mysteriously” found my makeup bag! Not only did they find it THEY STOLE out of my makeup bag! There are no African Americans as employees at this hotel so of course it made sense to send back my foundation and my shade makeup but they sent everything back WITHOUT MY MAKEUP BRUSHES! Who steals makeup brushes? Anywho I knew to follow my first mind so I have a video of me retrieving the package and a video of me OPENING the package because like I said it was sketchy how they didn’t have makeup bag then all of a sudden “found it”. Also my AirTag was missing from the bag. Spoke with Brad Lassner and at first he was nice until he spoke with John Curry then he called me back being RUDE and even cursed at me. Can you believe it? I hate to say they are racist because I never throw that card out I’ll just say they are COMPLETELY RUDE to people of color. Even tried to lie not knowing I had video proof. Anywho I had to go through corporate which I thank the heavens above for. They always make the situation better. The worst Hilton I’ve ever stayed with and I don’t stay with any other brand hotel. Honestly I can see why they are the LOWEST rated Hilton in this area. I will be sure to spend my money at the other Hilton. This one only hire...
