I've never set foot in here but heard good things from other friends.
The opportunity came after last night's Reno Ice Raiders victorious win over the Fond Du Lac Bears. I didn't know they had happy hour from 10p-midnight so I thought I'd take advantage of things. The choices were wings and fries, strips and fries, a quesadilla, tacos, or something else I can't place. I chose two chicken tacos and chips and salsa.
Tacos, like pizza, can be prepared in several ways. The tacos made here were flavorful and filling. The chips reminded me of a company from the Bay Area called 'Casa Sanchez'. This is designed to be complimentary. I'm not sure if FT makes their chips in-house but if they do, bravo! They could have used a little more salt, at the same time I could have added it from the shaker on the table. The salsa left a lot to be desired. I was going to make this a 4-star review but seeing the salsa was the only glitch in the matrix, I didn't think that was a fair judgment.
Overall, the atmosphere was electric, people were having a great time, and the food was most certainly enough of an invitation to go back soon. OH, and before I forget, props to the server whose order tablet had the endurance to make it through the Reno Ice Raiders food, drink orders. She was the true MVP.
Thanks, Tide! See...

When it comes to bars in the Reno market, you get what you get, and Flowing Tide Pub on South Meadows Parkway is no exception. This is your traditional neighborhood sports bar â think traditional wings, traditional salads, traditional sandwiches, and always ice-cold beer.
When you visit a place like this, you have certain expectations. For example, on Super Bowl Sunday, this place will be absolutely slammed. But if you swing by on a Tuesday in December, you might be able to enjoy a nice, quiet lunch with your family. It's all about the atmosphere, and Flowing Tide Pub delivers just what you'd expect in every scenario.
Some of the nicest staff, that genuinely care about service and attention to detail.
We most recently had a slight situation, not even that, but it could have become a situation with another customer and our party.
A server noticed it, took it to the manager, they talked with us, talked with him, and let's just say this, when the server thought he might be a problem, she was right. They handled it perfectly and without incident, and we were grateful for that. (Especially because we had a few...
Read more*Adjusting my review based on the thoughtful and detailed response from the owners of Flowing Tide. We will try again! Thank you for taking the time to reply. This is more like the experience we remember from frequent past visits! *We went out after work to celebrate my husband's birthday and our Anniversary tonight, and could not have been more disappointed. My husband got a turkey burger for $15 and was charged $2 extra for cheese and $2 extra for sweet potato fries, and received a measly amount of fries that looked less than a child's portion. My Cobb salad was $16 and had the smallest chicken breast l've ever seen served at a restaurant, and the bacon was so overcooked it could break a tooth. We mentioned all of the above to our waitress, and she said she'd pass it along, but there was no offer of a discount or birthday treat. We understand shrinkflation, but $50 for a 1/2 priced Happy Hour drink each and a meager overpriced salad and turkey burger is a disgrace. This used to be our favorite spot for a casual dinner, but this will be our final visit. They also took the zucchini wheels off the menu which was our favorite appetizer. Sorely...
