The young man who works the front desk is rude and is clueless on how to check in guests. He has no personality and customer service skills.

Zachary 4/5 6 months ago on Google I stayed here for 3 nights. It was priced well, clean and recently renovated. My only issue with it was there was a very strong "cologne" smell that I think was in the AC. S. Houserman 1/5 5 months ago on Google DO NOT STAY HERE! By far the worst experience I have ever had at a hotel. The kid running the front desk just playing on his phone the whole time. I requested a room change after seeing my first room, and somehow the second room was worse. ā¦READ MORE Trip typeBusiness Ā· Solo Rooms1.0Service1.0Location3.0 A Anonymous 1/5 4 months ago on Quality Inn & Suites Richardson-Dallas Bugs in shower, poor signal on TV. Ā Ā Ā Read moreSorry to have to write a book, but the truth should be told and read about this business. And online reviews platforms should give the option of negative stars/no stars. Also, w/o exceptions to "their" rule Choice Hotel only allow you 48/hrs to give the option to an online review on their website. This particular Inn is the absolute worst place to reside at. The manager/owner Gina Poonawalla totally harrassed my daughter (who is currently going through depression) via their motel room ph & door about our 9/lb pet. While she stated that they do not give refunds for our next day charge, although it was before our 24/hr checkout time. This was because of their "no pets allowed" signage that was blocked and hidden almost 5ft+ away from the check in area (while their website nor any staff member never asked/stated so). The next day I approached the front desk, GinaP (branch mgr/GM/franchise owner) came out from her office screaming at me because I returned uncleaned towels and sheets. Without initially looking, she slammed the blocked plastic signage onto the lower front desk, while shouting "it's from your pet" and that she couldn't see my issue of there being 3-4/inch long black stringy hair and male (curly/course) black pubic hair, plus dirty bed sheets. I extended my ph to her with photos to allow her to see the "choice hotel" name on the dirty items, along with it's date and time. She unapologetically retrieved and slammed fresher ones on to the desk countertop. However, we never complained about the smell of men's Cologne masking the marijuana smell, or the leaky shower, or the dirty floor tiles, or they only have two small bed pillows (and refuse to lend out any more), plus there's only one queen sized bed, nor the noise in the hallway/nearby street expressway. Or that she (Gina P.) found it quite funny (laughing loudly) as she was checking/allowing five oversized grown construction workers to stay/sleep there (inside one room altogether). But she complained about our one 9lb puppy being there and charged us $150.00 for his one night stay, although our stay was only $53+$55 for two adults of two nights stay. Even 5-star luxury hotels do not charge anywhere as much, Gina P., made out like a bandit by making it a greedy self absorbed, discriminative act. And also be aware that Richardson police regularly patrol this bad hotel vicinity for good reason. Therefore, please take heed and go someplace else down the road for a possible good and positive experienced stay/rest. Unfortunately and only afterwards (because we checked in late at night and was very tired), we saw negative reviews about other uncleaned, and bloody room conditions on other verified review website by real people. And the GM/Owner has ALWAYS written the same "copy/paste" empty apology, regardless of the complaint, be it similar or different...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreI am only giving this place a star because I have to.
My husband and I went out for a fun date night and wanted to stay the night in a hotel and just spend a fun and easy night together while the kids were visiting grandma.
We called to make a reservation and advised the front desk we would pay in cash upon arrival. They advised they needed to have a card on file to hold the room. My husband gave them his debit card# and it got declined - we thought that was weird, but okay. We then used my credit card to hold the room. When we arrived, my husband paid them the cash for the room and was advised no other charges were made to the room. WRONG They actually charged my husbands debit card $97 AND charged my credit card - not once, but TWICE for this room - $160. They also charged my husband for the incorrect amount - should have been about $85.
The management was the ABSOLUTE WORST at getting this issue resolved. We were advised by the assistant manager Heena that we would need to speak with a Peter and he would be in the office from 9:30-11 am. I would call- and every time he would have left by 11am. At one point, an employee advised there was no manager named Peter.
My husband and I had to call Choice Hotels Corporate and file two official complaints before Heena even decided to take our calls and half ass listen to us. We were advised by Choice Hotel's Customer service Rep Aaron, that Heena was in fact - the manager who could handle all of this.
After having a $97 hold on my husbands card and a $160 hold on mine, plus the $85 we spent on the room, this hotel was looking at making a profit of almost $350.
DO NOT - I REPEAT - DO NOT STAY HERE.
This manager Heena is an absolute joke and should be fired for lying to their customers. We tried for weeks to speak with them and have them refund our initial stay since their screw up cost us not to be able to buy groceries for three weeks for our children and she has refused to communicate or make release our holds. She kept blaming the banks and saying it was thier fault and blah blah blah - we called the banks - she wouldn't release the funds for them to do so.
After filing so many complaints - she finally released the holds on mine and my husband's cards btw - took three weeks - but she finally did it - even though she lied and said she couldn't.
So if you want to get screwed out of your money - DO...
