Prairie Creek Waterfall is a beautiful, peaceful escape that's well worth the trip. We visited in the afternoon, and the trail was lush and green, offering a serene walk.

A key tip for parking: skip the main spots and try the nearby neighborhood streets. While the first few houses have "no parking" signs, if you go a bit deeper into the neighborhood, the residents are much friendlier. We found a great spot right in front of the fifth house, and it saved us a lot of hassle.

The trail itself is in excellent condition and perfect for a post-lunch stroll. We saw several people enjoying the scenery with their dogs, including what looked like a high school girl on a dog-walking side gig, which was pretty cool to see. It’s definitely a dog-friendly spot, and the atmosphere is relaxed and welcoming.

Overall, a five-star experience with a beautiful waterfall at the end. I highly recommend it for anyone looking for a...

Friendly neighborhood creek with various sizes of fish, snakes, and other wildlife. Great waterfall with families, photographers, and outdoor enthusiasts stop to capture memories.

Great inner city escape for all ages. Only suggestion is if you’re with smaller kiddo’s, I would stick mostly to the main paths. There was quite a bit of trash including feminine waste products. Wish I had time to take a garbage bag out there. Either way, up to you as a parent (=

Almost got a picture of a medium sized snake darting into the water in less crowded areas. Endured many mosquito bites while trying to get the shot, but was unsuccessful. Well worth it and yes, already layered up with bug spray twice before that. They weren’t too bad around the main walking trails… only off the...

Absolutely breathtaking! This waterfall creek is a hidden gem, surrounded by lush greenery and the soothing sounds of rushing water. The sight of the cascading falls is truly mesmerizing, with mist rising in the sunlight, creating a magical, almost dreamlike atmosphere.

The trail leading to the waterfall is phenomenal, well-maintained, scenic, and just challenging enough to feel like an adventure without being overwhelming. Along the way, you’re treated to stunning views, peaceful forest sounds, and fresh, crisp air that makes the journey just as rewarding as the destination.

If you love nature, adventure, and picture-perfect scenery, this spot is an absolute must-visit. I’ll definitely be...
