Seems like Uptrade pays the review company Reviews.io to screen out sub-par reviews since I can’t seem to have mine posted. Anyways, here’s my story on a more independent platform.
I first ordered an iPhone SE that was advertised as "Best" condition and having 85% battery capacity. The battery went from 100 to 1% in 1 hour of use. It also doesn't report battery life accurately, so it may die suddenly when it says 50%. Customer service was very bad too. First, the phone shipped out 1 week late. Secondly, I talked to 2 separate people about this issue and both times, they said they'll look into the issue and get right back to me, and then they forgot about it. So after 3 days of consecutive calls, I finally got a shipping label to return the phone and options to exchange it for a better one (same price, so not really a "deal"). This only occurred after I spoke with the Customer Service Manager, who argued with me for 20 minutes and insinuated they couldn't help me further because I wrote them a 1-star review that accurately described the situation (also, screened out by Reviews.io and not actually posted).
Now I have an iPhone 6S and yes, it's better, but still has battery issues. It says it's at 85% capacity, but I need to charge it at noon if I want to use it for the rest of the day. It actually just died when it reported 50% battery. It looks like the saga continues and I'll need to pay to have the battery replaced, which will cost me another $40.

Read moreMore than I expected, takes the Guesswork out of purchasing a refurbished Phone as every single Device listed online has a detailed Inspection Report that even tells you the Status of the Battery life and you easily can find Phones that have between 95% to 100% Battery Status. I bought 2 I Phones , a yellow XR and a red SE and I knew both Phones will look and perform like brand new due to the detailed Inspection report and the countless photos of the actual Phones. Also I received a Video for each Phone showing when the phones are being placed in the Mailing Packet. This video can also serve as a clear evidence that should the Device arrive damaged it’s due to the Shipping Company.Also the pricing for there Phones is comparable with listings you find on Craigslist, OfferUp and Marketplace only difference is that Phones from UpTrade come with a warranty plus there are no bad Surprises. They are more trustworthy than an actual Apple Store as I was sold a bend IPad Pro in 2018 at an Apple Resale Store which was not even an accidental oversight from there side because I clearly pointed out that I wasn’t aware that the new iPads had a curved Screen which really should have been a red Flag for the Sales Person. By the time I figured out that it’s actually a defective Device the warranty was already up.Anyways I definitely recommend TradeUp and also they tell you right up front how much is the saving for each listed Phone compared to the price it...
Read moreI ordered an iPhone as a Christmas gift. I placed my order on December 10. I opted for the upgraded shipping at checkout so I thought I'd have it in the next 1-3 days. When it still hadn't arrived after a week, I double checked my confirmation email and saw that it still hadn't shipped! Not only that but the email said it would be 1-5 days before they even bothered to ship it at all, which was never disclosed during checkout.
On December 20 (ten days after I placed my order) I wrote to customer service to ask for the status and the customer representative apologized and assured me that the phone would be shipped by the end of the day. I kept rechecking the link in my email but it never showed as shipped. Finally I called the same rep on December 22 to find out what was causing the delay. The rep said it still hadn't shipped but they would FedEx it to me at no charge. December 23 came and still no tracking number or any kind of written update. I called back again and they still hadn't shipped it! Two weeks after the order and only 2 days left before Christmas! At that point I'd had enough. The customer service rep agreed to cancel the sale and I had to buy a different phone locally since it was way too late to get it online.
