Colonial Motel — Hotel in Rockford

Staff did their job, did not really go up and beyond the call of duty to ensure a great experience but i wasnt expecting that. It seems there are people there that live in some of the units as there are lots of personal effects out front of some of them that appear to have been there for a long time. At first glance the place doesnt scream safe, but it is in rockford which inherently has low crime and its also right across the street from a state police post. what you already might know or not.. colonial is quietly a rental property that ppl pay by the month of about $700 a month. i met some people that live there and the room are pretty bad.. all i can say is if you can’t approved somewhere else, dealing with some hard times this is a great dingy ride back to normal. i would never get a room for a night but i was in a bad place and almost did this .. fortunately i found my way back. this place is not for most Rockfordians but if you need a roof over head and not a lot of money .. well this beats being homeless. god bless you all be...

Don't do it! Made reservations and had to cancel right after. Was told cancellation was done and when we asked for a confirmation number, we were told we didn't need it and all was good (a week prior). Tonight, 2 days before the date the reservations were made for, some guy with strong Indian accent calls to say the rooms can't be cancelled. What??? We cancelled a week prior and right after we made the reservation. Now we demanded the rooms be cancelled right now and he refused. He said he will not cancel the rooms. Then the guy kept hanging up.
