Decided to do a google search of Retro Arcades Near Me, and Pinball Land was one of the top results. About 40 minutes away, I was a little hesitant at first. My wife, friend and I decided to give it a shot, and we were NOT disappointed! Ryan (the owner), was very welcoming and enthusiastic when we first walked into the door. It was free-play all day for $15, $12 for 2 hours, or $7 for an hour.
This was a blast from the past. There were about a dozen pinball machines, and several retro machines. Their site has a list of arcade cabinets, and they had some of the best ones there, including: Sunset Riders, Mortal Kombat II, Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles, The Simpsons, and Gauntlet Legends. They also had a couple of Multi-Cades, which allowed you to select several different games to play, including Captain America and the Avengers and Marvel Vs. Capcom. Also I was pleased to see that they had Pac-Man, Galaga, and Donkey Kong!
I would definitely go back again with my wife and to introduce it to friends and family who are interested in the arcade experience. THANK YOU Pinball Land for giving the 3 of us a great time and making us...
Read moreThis place was amazing. Lots of great games, and we really liked how they worked booking a private party. The kids all had fun, even our oldest ones! Oh, and me and my wife had a blast too! The claw machine was the only negative part of the visit, only because none of us were able to successfully pull out a plush toy. 🤣🤣 PRO tip, bring 1's as four of the things here take $ (everything else, a ton of games, are all free play) and we cleaned out all of their ones .
We returned this year for another birthday party. There were more games and the kids had an amazing time! Our luck at the claw machine changed, we won a toy from the machine but more importantly Pinball Land gifted the Birthday boy 3 plush toys: pac man, miss pac man, and a ghost since we had such bad luck at the claw machine last year. Can't wait to return and try to get some high scores locked in, but not sure we can bring Grandma again because after midnight and our time was up, we had to almost drag...
Read moreThis arcade collection is INSANE!! Today was my first time visiting Pinball Land and I was shocked! Right as I walked in, I was greeted by the friendly owner who was super passionate about bringing fun to the Rockford Community again. He showed us all around the shop and told us he had been collecting these classic pinball machines for over 10 years! All of the machines are Freeplay meaning you don't need quarters to access the games. All you need is a one time payment for either an hour of playtime or a wristband for the entire day! This means you could get food, walk around the Dam, heck even take a nap and then come back for more fun! The prices are great and it was super nostalgic to see all of these pristine machines ready for memory lane whether it's new memories or old ones! Definitely will be...
