I booked a two night stay here for my husband, daughter and myself as we were in town for a wedding. I read reviews prior, and thought that it would be enjoyable.
Newly remodeled? Actively still being remodeled. We were in one of the newly remodeled rooms, and while yes it appeared well done, the AC unit was covered in paint and plaster, as was the window framing. There was still dust on the tables as well. The housekeepers aren't looking at surfaces, let alone checking the appliances in the room, because the fridge still had someone else's food in it. The bathroom was probably the truly clean part of the room.
The "hot buffet breakfast" was two items. Eggs and sausage. The rest was a plethora of bread items and a toaster. The coffee was also downright disgusting.
The pool was closed for unknown reasons when we arrived, and ilwe were assured it would be open the next day. It was, but it should've stayed closed. The water appeared still, the blue tiles were turning brown, and even the towels smelled stale and felt damp. The door to the pool was also propped open which allowed everyone without a key to come in. (This is important for the next part .)
We ended up going back to our room to order dinner in for our last night. Our first night, we had a late check in, we ended up just going to sleep. However, this is when we realized, YOU CAN HEAR EVERYONE AND EVERYTHING IN THIS ROOM. We were on the second floor and the far side of the hotel. We heard the people below us, next to us, across from us, AND down the hall. It's one thing to hear your neighbor's door shut or their tv, but we could hear phone calls, showers running, toilets flushing... You name it. On top of everything, the staff seemed oblivious to the activity going on in the building. On our floor, (some ten doors down) there were at least 25 people in one room having a birthday party. (Cause you could hear them singing at the top of their lungs.) This went on for maybe an hour or 2, before the front desk associate came up and asked them to leave. When I went to retrieve something from my car, they started to dissipate, when I realized all of those people were at the pool when we went to...
Read moreLady at front desk was incredibly rude. I arrived prior to the strict 3pm check in time. (At 2pm, Which I had requested a early check in and never got a response.) I walk in and was greeted with What do you want? Said I had reservation and she rolled her eyes and sighed and stated well it doesn't matter what you have because check in isn't until 3pm. I asked about my early check in request and she got annoyed never asked my name or anything, just stated that they didn't have any rooms available anyways. I said for my early check in or are you telling my reservation is no good. She again rolled her eyes and said well if you have a reservation then it would of told you what time to check in, so come at check in time and we can find out then. I return like 10 mins until 3pm. I figure I can wait in lobby. I see the lady just checked in a guest so, I approach the counter and receive a what do you want and don't say check in because it's not 3pm yet...if I was able to cancel my reservation without being charged I would have. I had all my bags with me so I decided to stand in lobby and wait. There was a small sitting area between entrance and front desk I stood there. Been driving in car for 5+ hours wanted to stand. Placed 2 of my 4bags on ground. I wasn't blocking anyone from using sitting area or even taking up a seat. I was definitely nowhere near standing "in line" at desk nor blocking way for any other guest. But she made comments whole time I was standing there like I was doing all of those things and how I was just the...
Read moreLet me start by saying that if you have dogs please make sure they don’t bark or else as soon they do you will be asked to leave the hotel. Second customer service is absolutely horrible, the lady at the front desk (I did not catch her name) makes you think your lying by saying things that was never said before, for example when I checked in I said there were two small dogs and I was asked to pay a fee so I did. When they literally kicked us out she said that I had said at the check in that the dogs were service dogs which I never did and if I had said that she never asked for proof which means service dogs don’t pay the hotel fee and as I mentioned before I was asked to pay. Regardless of the dogs if you are Hispanic don’t even get near this racist establishment. I have travel to several places over the years and this is my 1 review because words cannot explain how horrible my experience was. P.S I just read the “owner” replay and he claims they are not pet friendly, yet when I checked in I asked they said yes and I paid a fee. Like i said before worst environment and full of lies first they said that we had lied about the pets being service dogs and now they said they are not pet friendly. Also just because you have “staff” Hispanic doesn't make you not racists. If so like said were was that Hispanic staff when translation was...
