Ho Ping House — Restaurant in Roseland

BUYER BEWARE!! The only reason they get one star is because I can't give them zero which is what they deserve. I considered myself a good customer, not any more. I picked up my carry out order tonight to find that the Triple Delight that we ordered was made X Spicy. The dish is a spicy dish, but this was made so spicy that we could not eat it. It was marked on the container X Spicy. I called and complained as this was not our fault. We did not order it x spicy and we were not able to eat it because it was so spicy. They gave me a hard time but agreed to replace it. Back in the car I go to drive back to the restaurant to get my not so spicy Triple Delight. I showed the girl behind the counter the marking of X Spicy on my container. There was NO APOLOGY for their mistake of making it X Spicy in fact she was very put off by my complaint. I get home to cold rice (the only thing replaced was the Triple Delight) and cold rest of my meal. Triple Delight was once an item we loved. Not any more. They are now using a salad size shrimp and there were 3 very tiny pieces of scallop. Unfortunately this restaurant that usually served an A+ meal has gone way down hill. Dinner was not really okay. The appetizer was not fresh at all and where we sat it was not the first seat but it was very drafty. I did not eat all my meal and we brought it home and when I went to have it I found that I did not have as much meat and food there as I thought because they had filled it in underneath with meat, you could see there was rice there beside it and it had so much soy sauce and I could not eat it. It was soy sauce or something that tasted very similar to soy sauce. I would really like to see supper's come with something similar to lunches where you can get soup and egg rolls and whatever else comes with it. I guess family dinner on the side there for like 6.25 is supposed to be that but it would sure be nice if it was included with it. Had a bad experience, our waitress couldn't speak English very well to begin with, never brought us lemons, brought out the wrong meals, tried to blame the cook, it was both of their faults, hers for not seeing they were both wrong when she brought to us, as I clearly stated what we didn't want on our Happy Family meal to her and the cook for messing the one completely up, they were both to be prepared the same without certain ingredients but she got an attitude after and we were the only ones dining at that time, too busy talking and not taking care of her customers so in turn i left a very small tip and than i think upset her further, i wish i never left her anything because she ruined our meal by all the mix ups.
