Completely unprofessional, deceptive, reckless handling of guests, and money hungry. Avoid at all costs!! My experience at Courtesy Inn in Rosemead was absolutely HORRENDOUS from start to finish. I booked a room for 3 adults and 1 minor. It was a king bed with a couch. After check-in, I went to the room and I was taking my suitcases down. Those who came in the car the 2 other adults and minor took down their items as well. The receptionist called us 5 minutes after, stated that 2 people per room are allowed regardless if one is a minor. When I explained that I, one of the adults would leave the next day by noon, leaving two adults and a minor, they refused to accommodate this reasonable situation. This is understandable considering I am an adult. However, AFTER KNOWING THIS KNOWLEDGE AND KNOWING I WILL NOT BE STAYING THE FOLLOWING DAY (hence would’ve only been 1 minor and 2 adults) they stated it would be $120/a day since it was 3 occupants regardless of one of them being a minor. They insisted a minor cannot stay alone, but then refused to allow the minor to stay with the adults. They (the last receptionists with NO knowledge, her baby, and a guy who seemed to have been her husband) stated the only accommodation or exemption they would do is when there is a room with two queen beds. This made sense, so I asked if the room could be upgraded to a larger room or pay extra to fix this issue, but was flatly told no, because “we already checked in.” Then, without any clear explanation or justification, they demanded an extra $100 charge for the same king bed room. WHICH DOES NOT LOOK LIKE THE PICTURES AT ALL! They mentioned they were recently renovated, however, none of this has been updated, nor their policies. This felt like a blatant cash grab On top of all this, their door clearly states “tap preferred” payment method, but when I tried to pay the unexpected $100 charge with TAP (which would’ve helped me), they said they don’t accept tap payments. I asked for a copy of their policies, considering it did not state any of this information, and the receptionist refused to provide any of this information, or any other details on who we can contact to get access to this information. She stated she is not knowledgeable or aware of any of the policies, and wouldn’t be able to answer any questions. When I requested a refund for the nights we would not be staying due to their inability to accommodate us, I was directed to call customer service. Customer service instructed me to get the supervisor’s name to escalate the issue, but the receptionist, the LADY WHO was shockingly ignorant and unprofessional, again failed to provide any contact information or even acknowledge who the owner or manager was. She claimed she did not know the owner despite having her baby and husband in the office with her. It was obvious she was either the owner or closely connected, yet she deliberately tried to avoid accountability by hiding behind vague corporate red tape. She said, “Customer service knows the owner’s identity and will contact them directly,” then added that “the owner won’t be available until 1:30 PM,” basically stalling and giving me the benefit of the doubt. The receptionist’s total lack of knowledge, refusal to communicate, and unprofessional behavior turned what should have been a simple family stay into a nightmare. This hotel clearly operates with no concern for guests, especially families with minors, and relies on confusing policies and bad faith tactics to extract extra money. If you value basic customer service, honesty, and clear policies, stay far away from this place. It’s a scam disguised as a hotel, with staff that clearly have no training or care about your wellbeing or rights.
I SHOULD BE ABLE TO HAVE ACCESS TO UP-TO-DATE POLICIES TO REVIEW!!!! TO AVOID THIS INCONVENIENCE. VERY UNPROFESSIONAL TO HAVE YOUR CHILD AND HUSBAND LIVING IN YOUR OFFICE, YET YOU CLAIM TO NOT KNOW THE...
Read moreTheir are two customer service clerks who are female. They have the worst attitude I have ever experienced. Rude, Rude, Rude! I will assume and I think I know why, but I won't go there. Now the gentleman in the evening was awesome!! Was a customer there every weekend for many months. They knew me. We were great customers. I had to go to the hospital emergency one day early in the morning. Happen to leave a little blood which I know is disgusting but it was an emergency. I told the mais what had happen, came back the following weekend and one of the rude females was the clerk, and instead of asking if I was okay (since I had been a regular) She turnrd to me and said you are on our no service list. We can't gibe you a room and shooshed me away like if I were a peasant. Not need to remind you lady the night we had bed bugs in our room and never complained and went to the front desk in the middle of the night and she thought we were there to get a room. She told ud we have no rooms left. It was 3 am and I said this is our problem and showed her the pics of bed bugs and her attitude quickly changed. Them two old ladies need to go to seminars or need some sort of instructions and guidance on how to treat people. With Respect...
Read moreWe decided to stay here and perhaps save a few dollars. I didn't expect 5 star luxury hotel amenities and accommodation. However, as a paying customer there are levels of standards I adhere to. You can be the judge: The pros: The staff were friendly and responsive to our requests. The channel selection was good. It was relatively quiet within the building structure itself. The cons: Luke warm water came from the showers. The electrical power went out for about five minutes in the early evening one night. The previous tenants napkins, plastic bottles, etc. were still in a few of the drawers and the refrigerator wasn't cleaned out. The floorboards and parts of the walls were a little dirty. To me, it LACKED CLEANLINESS, which is a top priority for me. That was the big reason for two stars. If that's important to you, an alternate choice would probably suffice....
