Zapopan Park — Attraction in Rosemead

Haha, well, I wasn't "there" because it's been closed for the past 6 months. So instead of taking Tiki for a walk TO Zapopan park, I had to take her for a walk AROUND the outside of CLOSED Zapopan park. The good news is it's supposed to reopen in a couple weeks: 25 Feb '17. Peeking through the locked gates it looks like they took out more than they put in. Gone is one of the fun kids areas and the adult Parcour area. The trade is that they put a walking path in. Since the park is still closed I can't comment on why the walking path is supposed to be cool, but it was already a park, people have been walking on it for years!? The park rehab was supposed to take 3 months and it's coming in at 7 months, but at least it has a scheduled...

Haven't been to this uncomfortable Park in along time. Most of the bushes are gone where unsavory men spent their entire day. Has bathrooms and a store near by where much of the low life hung. Uncomfortable feeling walking. Today the maintenance man was talking a long time with some idlers. I went over to ask a question about the park improvements, apparently the maintenance man doesn't know much English either. Didn't like being interrupted for English questions. Rosemead improved this wasteland greatly. It's a nice level walking path. Some exercise equipment. Playing area. Packed on weekends especially holidays. You would do better going to Rosemead park. Even though they improved the park it still has...

Update 03/26/23: Pros: *Peaceful during the day *Landscapers come to mow the grass 1 - 2 times a month *Plenty of trash cans *Used for soccer, basketball, volleyball and older people to work out while gossiping *Dog owners are 99% of the time very responsible about picking up after their dogs and keeping their dogs leashed

Cons: *The walking track is uneven and misaligned. Specifically, the track from the restroom to the basketball courts are in need of repair since the patched areas are sunken in. *No water fountain for humans or dogs. *Metal benches along the track are rusty and showing wear.
