Pho Kadao — Restaurant in Rosemead

I am so glad to see a clean and quality tasting restaurant opened up inside this shopping center. I've been here twice, once for takeout and one for dine in. They serve mostly chicken dishes here. I ordered the chicken pho and it was very flavorful. I liked that you get to customize the type of chicken meat, e.g. breast, thigh, boneless, gizzards. I chose skinless and boneless for my pho and it was delicious. Dipping sauce was good too. On my second visit, I ordered their other specialty, dry chicken pho. I liked the flavor, once you pour in the dressing/sauce the whole bowl turned into a mouthful of umami, a little bit of savory, sweet, tang, and a hint of spice. Waiter there is very impatient, he wants to take my order before even looking at the menu. I told him, this is my 1st time and give me a min. Walk away never came back. Place wasn't busy when I was there for dinner.

Their speciality is free range chicken Pho, there is no beef pho. Is noted in front of the restaurant.

It took awhile to get the waiter's attention to take my order. I ordered glass noodles free range chicken soup. Choose dark meat or white, I chose both. Chicken is tender but lukewarm, i just put it into my soup. The XL bowl is really small, is not as big as my hand. The broth is good and chicken is okay.

Chicken wings, I am very disappointed because they are not fresh and spoiled. Meat is kind of mushy..

Thai tea, too heavy of tea flavor and bitter....

Their pho ga is seriously a winner – so delicious! The soup boasts a rich and savory flavor that feels surprisingly healthy. A neat twist is that they serve the chicken on the side, which I decided to pop into my soup to warm up. And let's not forget the fish sauce they hand over – perfect for some dipping action.

I also tried their pork and shrimp spring roll, and I'd absolutely give that a thumbs up too. They also have a special “Rosemead” menu, which I didn’t have a chance to try.

The dining room offers ample space, and the staff's kindness and attentiveness really stand out. You'll find Pho Dakao tucked inside The Square, and guess what? Parking won't be a headache – there's plenty of free...
